The Buckeye basketball team lost again on Sunday afternoon pushing it's losing streak to three games now. #16 Illinois (22-6) beat the Buckeyes, now (17-8), in close finish, but the Buckeyes just couldn't get past the fighting illini, 70-68.

I'm not going to lie... this was a pretty frustrating loss not only because we're now on the bubble regarding the NCAA tournament but whenever we got within two points, Illinois responded right back pushing their lead even further.

I don't know what to think of this team... inconsistent would be a good term to describe them. Lack of experience? Lack of talent -- further more a PG? Depth? All good possibilities but defensively we're just not there. I think it's time Matta makes some adjustments on the defensive end because, right now, things have not been working.

Jon Diebler had a good game though... team high in points with 17 going 4/10 from behind the arc. Evan Turner also turned in 17 points to go along with 9 boards and 5 assists.

Next up: Penn State (19-8, 8-6) on Tuesday 2/24. This is a huge game. This game could possibly put us in or out of the tournament, IMO.

I really don't think depth is a problem. What ever happened to the 6th. and 7th man instead of subbin practally the whole team?
Turner is a very good BB player but he has to stop all the turnovers. 8 and 10 a game don't get it.

turner is trying to do too much and the entire defense collapses on him which causes him to turn it over. i would be very happy if he only scored 10 pts. a game if he cuts his TO's in half. but he has about as many TO's as field goals usually.
