Buckeye Defense Flexes Their Muscles

This is what we like to watch. I'm not going to speak for all of Buckeye Nation but I'd be dumbfounded to believe this wasn't an excellent showing by the Ohio State Buckeyes. When all seemed hazy about how we would/could do the remainder of this season, especially against a quality top 25 team, we show again why we are Ohio State. We've had our share of big games and games where we come out on top. Over look this team at your risk.... don't mess with the Buckeyes.

Taking a look at the defense:

• Spartan 3rd down efficiency; 3/12
• Passing; 23/39
  • For 188 yards
• Rushing attempts; 21
  • For 52 yards
• Buckeyes give up only 240 total yards and force 5 turnovers.

The Buckeyes easily had their best game of the season on Saturday and it's a sigh of relief that they finally showed us how we all know how they capable of playing. We're getting better and as the season grows on we'll grow tougher and tougher. The next big task is next Saturday against #3 Penn State (8-0, 4-0). The Buckeyes will need to play with the same focus and intensity as the Nittany Lions will be ready to play.
