The pecking order among wide receivers is due for changes. Smith, a freshman, should move into the realm of starters. His post cut was crisp as he flew past his defender to haul in Miller’s first TD pass. His concentration was keen as he beat another defender on the fade, getting a foot down inbounds at the edge of the end zone for the second TD. And it sure looked like the press-box relay official blew it on the catch Smith seemed to make on the sideline in the fourth quarter. It was ruled incomplete on the field and not overturned.

he's one guy that i can't wait to see mature in this program. his potential is very high also him and miller have great chemistry.

 

I bet that ball couldn't come down quick enough for him. Hell of a play

 

He is going to be a good one. Glad to see him get involved, He has been quiet since the Colorado game. I don't like it when True freshman get involved early and then disappear as the season goes.

 

Devin Smith just has that knack to make big plays. If you re-watch all of the games like I do, you can see how much separation he creates on the out routes and on double moves.

He runs perfect routues and has great hands. He's really going to be a star. He reminds me of a more athletic Robiskie/Posey hybrid.

A few years down the line, when his body is fully developed, he'll be a 1st team All-B1G player and he'll play on Sundays.

 

When you're done with the coaches tape can you send it down to Marietta for me? 'Cause all I see is the QB and o-line on all my tape :biggrin:

That works for me, my office has a view great of the Muskingum... I could actually cast a reel from my window if I could fish.

I'm not the big sportsman. Sitting along the river with a rod all day always felt like a waste of time to me. I don't mind getting my hands dirty... I just don't want to commit so much time to doing something that I find pretty boring. I'd rather be online making fun of you and Block O.

I feel the same about hunting, and frankly I don't care for guns. But whoever wants to spend their weekends shooting bambie and keeping him out of my head-lights, please go ahead.

My kids aren't really old enough (1yr old & 2 month old) for me to get my Disney on yet. Couple more years.
