Just reported: Scout.com: Turner Out For Two Months

Those hopes took a turn about two hours after the game concluded, as the Buckeyes have issued a press release stating that Turner will miss the next eight weeks with a transverse process fracture on the second and third lumbar vertebra of his spine.

Turner who was having a spectacular start to this season was averaging 20.6 PPG and 12.9 boards a game. The Buckeyes return to action on December 12th at #23 Butler.

Similar to last year when we lost David Lighty......................I feel so bad for Evan............it is going to be a tough road without our leader on the court.......

AHHH this sucks. He was having such a great year.

Wow, what a huge blow to this season. Someone has got to step up big time

this team doesn't have a chance without turner.

I don't wanna sound like a homer, but I actually think we'll stay 'in it' until he gets back, Diebler has stepped up big time, even after his good year last year. If Lighty can get his stroke going, it'll be tough to beat good teams, but I think we can still be in the hunt for the tourny by the time he's back.
