Ohio State's Jared Sullinger is the Big Ten's player of the week in men's basketball, the conference announced this morning.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds and 3.5 assists to lead the Buckeyes to road victories over Northwestern and Michigan State and a share of the Big Ten championship. In OSU's 72-70 victory yesterday over the Spartans, Sullinger had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
The player-of-the-week award is the seventh in Sullinger's career and third this season.
