The 2008 AFCA Coaches All-American Team has been announced today and two Buckeyes take home first team honors! Congratulations to senior LB James Laurinaitis and senior CB Malcolm Jenkins on earning such honors.

This is James' third time being named to the first team ('06, '07, '08) and now becomes the Buckeyes 8th player ever to win three first team honors. Laurinaitis leads the team in tackles, 121, and for his career, 366, which is seventh is school history.

Malcolm Jenkins earned his first career first team selection and in my opinion is the best corner in college football. I don't think there is another defensive back as dominant as Malcolm. He is also the Buckeyes first player to earn first team at corner since Antoine Winfield in '97 - '98

Congratulations to these fine players as there accomplishments on and off the field are well deserved!

Jenkins is gonna be a stud in the NFL, just like Shawn Springs and Antoine Winfield

My hat goes off to these guys for performing so well on and off the field and truly making buckeye nation proud.
