Lady Buckeyes claim 5th straight Big Ten title

The Ohio State women’s basketball team matched the program’s own Big Ten record with a fifth consecutive conference regular season championship on Sunday.

FYI, the team HATES being called the lady buckeyes.

I don't see the issue with calling them the Lady Buckeyes........

It attaches a connotation that it isn't the "real" basketball team.

It's a very complex issue that I have written many a paper on for my major, but for future reference they prefer being called the women's basketball team over lady buckeyes.
