Scout recently released their rankings of the top 100 recruits they see as the "best of the best" and it's interesting to see who the Buckeye coaching staff are targeting. With rather large numbers coming in with the past two recruiting classes, the 2010 class will be undoubtly smaller, but not necessarily less talent.
The Buckeyes have already received verbal commitments from four to be seniors and are expected to take around 17-19 recruits in this class. Although the state of Ohio has always produced great football talent, the staff has started to focus a lot of resources on the state of Florida and into Texas. This only make sense regarding the amount of talent those states produce... keep in mind schools like Florida, Miami, FSU, and Texas cannot take every single top prospect.
Scout has recently published their list of players they see as the best in the nation, and it's interesting to see where current Buckeye commitments and other Buckeye targets are ranked. Here's a list of players the staff is high on and vice versa. Bolded players have verbaled to Ohio State.
Scout Top 100 Rankings

15. OLB, Jamel Turner (Youngstown, OH) *****

This is only an early list of the top recruits that list Ohio State amongst their leaders, this most certainly will change in the coming months, but nonetheless it's pretty interesting to read especially if your into recruiting.
