I completely agree. tOSU has had so many potential NC runs in the past decade. I see how USC has the top spot though. They are definitely the team to beat if you want to make it to the NC game.
yeah usc is the one team that OSU has not been better than recently. i would be surprised if usc didnt get into a bcs bowl in the next five years or more. 2004 really hurt us because that year could have been part of a 5 year bcs streak. but oh well we finished #2 AGAIN
I think Miami should be higher. I mean they did produce one the greatest college teams ever in 2001 not to mention all the NFL talent they've produced. I'd put them ahead of Florida, Florida State.
I'll admit I actually kinda liked ND when I was a kid. They were sweet in the late 80's early 90's. Then they got spanked by tOSU in 95 and 96!
I think ND is slipping more than people realize. What was the last major game that they have won? That comeback against MSU? Sorry but several other teams did it to them too.
ND claims Penn State last year a big win, 2005 win against TSUN (7-5), and Tennessee 2005. Those are wins against big time programs, but none of them were really great those years. You gotta love my signature, eh?
Why is Nebraska so low? In the last decade they shared a national title, played for another and had a Heisman winner.
Frank Solich got a really bad rep at Nebraska. He went 58-19. Got fired after a 10 win season. I guess the guy after the legend always gets it the worst. If Solich would have stayed on, Nebraska probably would be up there in the rankings. But the big wigs saw fit to fire him and bring in Callahan, and he's had one bad year, one so-so year, and one pretty solid year.
Wow that sounds really harsh. Did the same kind of thing happen to whoever was the coach after Hayes?
