I'm telling you. Quoth Yoggi Berra "It ain't over 'till it's over" Edit: I like how LSU intentionally took a delay of game penalty to try to pin us but still kicked us a touchback!!!
Alright. That's it. Now I say it's over. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Up to that point, they kinda still had some relative hope of pulling it out if they took care of business. But now, they really have to hope for some serious mistakes from LSU. Not as embarrasing a loss as last year. We didn't roll over and die like last year, but we still looked like a High School team - at least from what I can see. Odd thing - OSU outgained them on Offense. We just couldn't convert at very important moments. This game - from my perspective - didn't come down to speed or anything like that. It came down to missed opportunities. Turnovers. Not converting on 3rd down. Allowing 3rd and short to even exist and then be converted by the D. Those three things are what lost this game. It's really unfortunate and embarrasing, but I still refuse to buy the notion that the SEC is so much better than the Big Ten. I refuse to buy the notion that OSU didn't belong in this game I refuse to buy the notion that OSU is a bygone, washed up program. Our fate will not be the same as Florida State - the other team to lost back-to-back BCS Championships. The Buckeyes will rise again. I faithfully await that day. And keep in mind that The Buckeyes really didn't deserve this game. The fact that they were even in it was a gift. After the loss to Illinois, they gave away their right to play in this game. Even the fact that they were here makes it a good season. I still say this year was an awesome year. Of course it wasn't as awesome as '02, but it was still a good year: - 4th scUM game win in a row; 6th out of last 7 - Big Ten Championship - Invited to play in BCS National Championship Game - our 7th - I think that's still on par for most in the country. Next year's going to be even better. The Juniors better stick around, and they better play better than this. If they stick around, a win at USC early in the year could give them the credibility they need to get back to the Championship Game when it is held wherever the Orange Bowl is going to be held in the future. Go Bucks. Edit: LSU now has more yards. That last drive put them over the top.
Final score Lsu: 38 Osu: 24 Ugh, back to back championship losses. I'm honored to have played in consistent national titles but at some point we need to bring one home...
:iagree: I agree. One day we will. We still have the Chicago Cubs team motto to keep us company: "There's always next year."
We shot ourselves in the foot in this game. Waaay too many penalties and bad decision making in big situations. LSU made the big plays when they needed to and we couldn't.
