That would be a good idea. Our coverage team isn't great at keeping the runners in check, but man can they hit.
1st half looking good...Although Beanie banged up but Mo Wells looking good. i have to say Todd Boekman has anchored that starting position . he looks awsome with his verticle passing attack.
with such a dominating performance by our guys tonight, do oyu think we can jump Cal and take the #2 spot and also how many first place votes will we get because USC losing puts alot of them up for grabs
Overall it was a pretty good game. I hate the conservative part of getting ahead and not going for the kill. Of course it does not help that boeckman had 3 interceptions. That can not continue. Props to the defense for playing a great game.
Not happy with our offense in the second half. Yeah we moved the ball, but we couldn't get it in the endzone. Boeckman drove me nuts in the second half airing out those passes that ended up being picked off. Defense was outstanding, though!
I am ok with Boeckman having A bad game, but Fire is right it can not continue!!!! And I don't really think they played all that conservative, we just couldn't get in the end zone!!!! And those t/o's killed us as they would ANY team! Can't go for the kill, if we can't keep the ball!
Agree on Boeckman, he was driving me nuts with those INTs, as I mentioned in a previous thread regarding Boeckman, those long throws of his seem to hang in the air forever and always seem to be short. He's been lucky the last few weeks, that the DBs we were playing against were not the top flight DBs in the country and they always run into our WRs for a pass interference penalty or he gets bailed out by insane catches by Robo or Hartline. Against a halfway decent defensive secondary, unfortunately I can imagine being intercepted a couple of times a game would be the norm for him. Just from observation his problem comes mostly on his long throws, I think he tries to put too much touch on the ball, his short and intermediate throws where he has to zip it in there have been fine (those TD passes he throws on slants). The good thing about this "problem" is, they have not really hurt the Buckeyes so far this season. With the Buckeye D being insanely good, they have thrived on sudden change of possession type situations. Also since his INTs usually come on long throws its almost like a punt for the Buckeyes. Another nitpicky point for me is, our DBs need to wear stick-um or something, they have been dropping a ton of INT balls this season. Andersen Russell being the biggest culprit, he would have at least 5 INTs already this season if he can only hold on to the balls. I guess if all we can complain about now is small, nitpicky stuff then the Buckeyes are certainly rolling. Now if only they can keep Beanie healthy...
That was one great game! Their black out didn't work so well! We had the O-H-I-O chant going in the stadium. Can't wait for our game next year! Michigan St. here we come
Welcome back! So just how many OSU fans were at the game? Looks like we ruined their "Blackout" with thousands of scarlet-clad fans.
There were tons of us bucknuts there!!! both endzones were filled with osu fans, more so in the south endzone, but quite a few in north endzone, and then scattered throughout the whole stadium really. On another board, purdue fans were questioning how the buckeyes got a hold of so many tickets, quite funny if you ask me!!!
I think we were going for the kill but the injury to Wells and then the three picks messed it all up. Nice to see Saine in the game though!
I did not see Tank Whaley in the game, was he held out or did I just miss seeing him? He was really missed during that 4th down play that Tressel went for, Dionte Johnson blocked the wrong guy on the play and caused the defender to blow up Beanie in the backfield.
I did not see tank in the game either. My question is what has happened to dionte? He played fairly well the last couple of years and now he is not playing well at all.
