    JOSH MYERS • 2017 • OL • MIAMISBURG

"It was a ton of fun. I got to hangout with coach Warinner's son, which was so cool, me and coach talk about him all the time, so it was cool to finally meet him! Coach Studrawa is such a personable guy and our conversations can go just about anywhere. He definitely made a great first impression."

Current 2017 Ohio State commit Josh Meyers of Miamisburg, Ohio was also given his 5-star ranking by Scout.com.

    Josh Myers has OSU plan
The nation's best offensive tackle prospect in the 2017 class according to 247Sports is Miamisburg, Ohio product Josh Myers. Besides the ranking, the greatest thing about Myers is that he is already committed to Ohio State's 2017 class. While the 6'6, 290-pound monster gave his verbal to the Buckeyes in January of last year, he has been nothing but solid to Ohio State.

Never wavering once, Josh now has plans to be enrolled early to Ohio State next January. With his incredible size and talent, getting to Columbus ahead of schedule will be a huge benefit for Josh. The added time spent with strength coach Micky Marotti and the chance to compete in spring ball will give Myers the inside track to crack the offensive line rotation. Needless to say, the future of Ohio State's offensive line is looking very bright.

No, he'll be the first Josh Myers seeing how he's likely to play Guard at OSU. Miamisburg runs the Wing-T offense where there's very little pass protection and if you watch film on Myers you'll see his style is more like a mauler which is perfect for run blocking.

Josh is a guard at the next level. Miamisburg (my alma mater) runs the Wing-T and they don't throw the ball much which makes me cautious of Josh's pass blocking skills. Watching him play he just mauls over DL and and is excellent at getting to the next level to block LB's. His run blocking skills are beyond elite and he looks like an NFL prospect doing it.

I'm confident in the OSU staff to improve Josh's pass blocking skills and get him ready to play OT at the college level, but as of right now he's a Guard.

Though he didn't earn an invitation to The Opening Saturday, Myers was a physical monster all through the afternoon. He showed up in great shape – he told me he's been working out harder than he's ever done before – and it definitely translated to the field.

Todd Huber, one of the big decision makers for The Opening, told me following the event that the offensive line group from Saturday was maybe the best they've ever had in a single, regional camp. He also said Myers not being selected for The Opening isn't an indictment on him at all. He got beat one time that I saw but was dominant nearly every step of the way. The odds are very high that the Miamisburg five-star will end up being selected and end up in Oregon come July.
