Monday’s Ohio State camp may not have produced nearly as many offers as its first camp did Wednesday, but there were still several standout performances to recap.

The lone offer of the day went out to eighth-grade wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., the son of the late Chris Henry, who played five professional seasons at wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. This may be the second time in as many weeks we’ve written about an eighth-grader at Eleven Warriors, but it's certainly not without good reason.

Henry Jr. is the second recruit from the 2026 cycle to receive an offer from Ohio State, joining defensive end Tyler Atkinson in picking up offers before either played a snap of high school football. It was his fifth offer he’s picked up so far, with his most notable other offer being West Virginia, his father’s alma mater.

"It feels great," Henry Jr. said of receiving his OSU offer. "It just makes me want to work harder."

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect blazed past most of the defensive backs he matched up against in one-on-one drills Monday, hauling in two touchdowns. A fun tidbit: Henry Jr. currently lives with Adam “Pacman” Jones, his father’s former teammate at WVU.

    3. CHRIS HENRY JR., WR
Even though he has yet to play a high school football game, Henry Jr. received an offer from the Buckeyes after camping at Ohio State on June 6. After watching his performance that afternoon, it would have been shocking if he didn’t receive one.

Despite being only 14 years old, Henry looked like a man among boys at Ohio State’s second camp of the summer. Already 6-foot-3, Henry’s size, speed and natural playmaking ability stood out as he burned opposing defensive backs for multiple deep-ball touchdown catches.

The son of late former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, Henry Jr. has already picked up eight offers, also including Miami, Penn State and West Virginia. While his recruitment is truly only just beginning, he appears likely to be one of the top prospects in the class of 2026 if his camp performance was any indication of things to come.

Cincinnati wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. was one of the best prospects to camp at Ohio State last summer, regardless of class.

That’s a pretty impressive feat, considering it led to the 2026 prospect picking up an offer from the Buckeyes before ever playing a high school game. Boasting a 6-foot-3, 170-pound frame, Henry won individual drill after individual drill, especially beating defensive backs on deep routes.

“I don’t let it get to my head,” Henry said in June after receiving his offer. “I just stay humble, but I’m very thankful and blessed to receive the offer. … It was a surprise, but I think I earned it because I worked for it. It just makes me want to get better.”

Henry, the son of the late former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, was the second overall player and the first offensive prospect offered by OSU in the 2026 cycle (defensive end Tyler Atkinson was the first). He plans on taking his first visit to OSU since receiving his offer this weekend, as he announced he’ll be at the Buckeyes’ game against Indiana.

Henry has received eight Division I offers in total, including from Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M and West Virginia. The likely-to-be top prospect in the 2026 cycle also will visit Cincinnati on Friday.

Henry just completed his freshman season for West Clermont, where his team finished 5-6 overall. But the wideout displayed his playmaking ability throughout his first season, showing why he’s drawn such high college interest already.
