i have never seen a buckeye team turn it over that many times. i thought the game plan was weak. it was the typical take minimal chances on offense and let the defense win it for you. play the percentages instead of going for the kill. can anyone please tell me if we have more then 3 different designed run plays for saine. purdue's run defense is the worst in the big ten and we never got the running game going. someone tell me why browning is still playing??? the guy is soft and stops his feet everytime he engages any other defender on the field. this team as of now lacks passion IMO. the only passion i see is on the defensive side of the ball.

    ok i am done venting!!

We needed this loss to slap some sense into the coaches. We'll never change our gameplan and playcalling unless we have to and these kinds of losses expose our weaknesses and force us to make drastic and necessary changes.

Id say our problems in order right now are....

    1. O-Line
    2. Coaches
    3. Pryor
    4. Special Teams (I cannot stand Ray Small anymore)

i just feel that our passing plays take way too long to develope. quick slants, screens are all we need to do to keep the blitz off us. how many times did we run that route with sazenbacher?? like three times. one he caught it out of bounds but the next 2 were not even close. he needs to go off his first reads. if they're not there pryor needs to just run then. i feel he's trying to do too much when it comes to his passes. i fear with him trying to rush his progress he will create bad habits. i wished they would of benched him before half just to calm him down.

also, i feel we abandon the running game too early in the second half.

    Pryor's new motto should be:

Everybody does -- fumbles the ball, throws interceptions, embarrasses you, embarrasses me.

Start Bauserman, start Guiton, start Thoma for all I care.

"Pryor's not quite there," "Pryor still needs time to develop," "Just wait, it'll click for Pryor sometime." Bench him until he is ready. Right now, he isn't.

Did anyone else notice that Pryor threw off of his back foot 85-90% of the time? The problem isn't his arm strength... its his throwing technique. I thought this was something he improved on during the off season? No wonder his passes suck. He needs to step into his throws. You learn this in junior high.

On top of that our line blocking was awful today. Shugarts better not start next week.

We have no leaders on offense. You would think Pryor would step up and do that, but we EXPECTED him to do a lot of things so far this year, and that just hasn't worked out. He has got a lot of maturing to do

The calls for JT to hire a OCoordinator are only going to get louder. I have been holding off. But now I am on that bandwagon.

Does anyone notice when there is a sense of urgency to score a la Wisky, the TD this week, TP actually does well???!!! Maybe JT should notice and take more chances.

We need to use more misdirection. Watch how Florida or Texas run their offense. We are not far apart talent wise from these guys... we're just not utilizing our players to their strengths.

How is it that we NEVER have a good O-line? Even when we recruit well or have 5 seniors on the line it's never considered among the elite.

Agree 100%.... We need to use Lamar Thomas like Florida uses Demps and Rainey. They line those guys up in the backfield and force LB's to cover them in pass routes. That creates a HUGE mismatch. We need to do this with Flash. I would also like to see Soneburner out wide to force a corner or safety cover him a la Dallas Clark. We need an offensive coordinator badly. Whats the point in getting talented players and not using their talents. It's like paying the extra 10 grand to get a king cab 4x4 pickup with the tow package and only driving it to your office job every day. It looks nice and has the potential to do a lot of things for ya.

the offense is telegraphed like pryors passes. there are NO set up plays. we never fake the reverse, fake handoffs and then bootleg, everything is so obvious as soon as the line sets up on the line of scrimmage. if it was any d coordinatior i would just have my team pin their ears back and blitz. the line is terrible and pryor makes bad choices when there's pressure. the running game is the strength right now but they have about 3 designed running plays. so the blitz will have an effect whatever the offense does.

i am not grabbing the pitch fork and joining the rest of the lynch mob that's after JT's job. but it's time to change. bring in a new play caller and try to add a different element to this team. there's more then just beating michigan and play "your game of percentages" it has won games against a weak big ten but what happens when teams catch up with the talent we have??

Coaches coach and players play; you are 100% accurate. Coach and adapt to what you have recruited, do not try to make a player something he is not.

I'm not sure if Thad Matta needs a small forward or not this season .

Not sure what he means by "trying to force him to be something he isn't" He ran the ball 22 times. If that isn't where he gifts are, then what are his gifts?

    Loss to Purdue

I'm going to go into it a lot more later, but I haven't even gotten to watch the game. I was out of town at Cedar Point all day yesterday and just got home a little bit ago. I'm so upset about this, but I don't want to comment on the game until I get to see every play with my own eyes.

So by utilizing TP's natural talent, are you guys suggesting Tress incorporate the fumblerooski into his regular repetoire of 10-15 plays?

    Too depressing to talk about.

How did you like Halloweekends? Do they still have people dressed up in costumes walking around the park scaring people?
