ARNETTE VISIT FINISHED, ARE THE BUCKEYES THE TEAM TO BEAT?
One of two official visitors on campus this weekend, Fort Lauderdale's Damon Arnette, returned home today; his visit concluded. As we said early last week, Arnette was a player that the Buckeyes were going to turn up the "heat" on as they caught wind the pending flip of Carlton Davis to Auburn. Urban Meyer visited Arnette at home on Thursday, and the three-star cornerback began his visit in Columbus on Friday.

After talking about the trip with a couple different people, I've added my "crystal ball" for Arnette and have predicted he picks Ohio State on Wednesday morning.

 

2. Damon Arnette
Arnette attends St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which should tell you that he's a little bit more advanced than most high school football players. Recruiting services see him as both a cornerback and safety, and at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, it's easy to see why. If you're looking at eventual safety candidates, this might be one of your best bets.

True freshman cornerback Damon Arnette's also not seen any time in 2015. He's dealing with what appeared to be a leg injury as early as the beginning of fall camp — Arnette was on crutches as the team moved into its hotel — but Ohio State's been mum on his status.
