Kalis Looking To Lead...............Kalis indicates he is 100% a Buckeye as long as Fickell is the head coach. Kalis is actively recruiting other players to OSU.

    De-Committed

He just de-committed from us. This is officially BS in my mind. Scout.com: Kalis De-Commits From Buckeyes Granted, this doesn't mean he couldn't end up signing up with us again...but still, ugh.

    1. He calls Fick to decommit but basically pussies out
    2. He then says he is 100% Buckeye
    3. He says he is actively recruiting other players to become buckeyes
    4. The OSU car scandal is deemed over and he announces he will visit scUM
    4. He then decommits....
    5. WTF

    Gut feeling only~~~

I would not be surprised if we still might get K.K. if the penalties aren't worse that they are now(possible) the resignation of J.T. and T.P. leaving the NCAA might have a tendancy to leave it as it is now, might be wishful thinking but entirely possible.

The longer this carries on the better for Ohio State.

I truly believe that the Buckeyes will shock a lot of the haters and win 12 or 13 games this year. The situation at Michigan is not much better than last year. Hoke has spread guys and will run a pro-style offense. I do believe they will be much improved defensively, but that is not saying much considering how bad they were last season. This is the best time of the year for Michigan and their fans. You would think that they are title contenders lol. At best, I see Michigan 8-5 with a loss to OSU by 20+.

Once August comes and goes, those bastards up north will have to shut their Loud mouths and prove they are back. O motha ****in H!!!

Oho State football: Recruit Kalis may not be lost
    THURSDAY, JUNE 23, 2011 *03:06 AM
    BY KEN GORDON
    THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The immediate future of Ohio State football recruiting might look bleak, but John Peterson yesterday was concerned about more-distant prospects.
Peterson, the Buckeyes' tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator, was overseeing the final day of the school's youth camp, featuring more than 600 kids entering fifth through eighth grade.
As the youngsters went through drills on the Woody Hayes Athletic Facility indoor field, Peterson did his best to brush off the latest bad news: Tuesday's decision by elite prospect Kyle Kalis to de-commit from the recruiting class of 2012.
Kalis, an offensive lineman from Lakewood St. Edward, is considered one of the five top linemen in the nation and among the top 25 prospects overall.
"I always correlate it to, you get engaged," Peterson said, "and so when you get engaged, you want to make it solid. And if you have a doubt, guess what? You probably shouldn't be engaged.
"We'll get married in February (on national signing day), but if you have questions, we don't want to be engaged, we don't want a commitment. We want guys who are solid and confident in what they want to do."
According to recruiting analyst Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts.com, Kalis did not rule out recommitting to Ohio State. He has had two changes of heart in the past three weeks; he first intended to de-commit on May 31, one day after coach Jim Tressel resigned, but new coach Luke Fickell talked him out of it.
"He says he's going to visit Ohio State again in the next week or two," said Kurelic, who spoke to Kalis on Tuesday. "That indicates he's still thinking about it."
But, Kurelic added, "If he doesn't (recommit), it's a huge loss."
Kalis did not respond to a text message on Tuesday night, and yesterday, he blocked his phone from taking calls or texts.
That has not been the only recruiting effect felt by Ohio State from the double whammy of the ongoing NCAA investigation and Tressel's departure.
In recent days, linebacker Ejuan Price, who was going to be a freshman this fall, was released from his scholarship; he plans to go to Pittsburgh.
For the 2012 recruiting class, defensive end Tom Strobel of Mentor committed to Michigan and defensive end Se'Von Pittman of Canton McKinley committed to Michigan State. Both had OSU scholarship offers.
"I think if all this (controversy) hadn't happened, it would be very realistic to believe that one, if not both, would have ended up at Ohio State," Kurelic said.
Kurelic said Ohio State has recruited well enough in recent years that it can weather one down year. But if the NCAA slaps serious sanctions on the program, the effects would be felt if the 2013 class also was mediocre.
Peterson was keeping his chin up yesterday, though, as hundreds of excited potential future Buckeyes frolicked all around him.
"We're proud to be Ohio State," he said. "We've got a great product, and we've got great people, and we're still going to be ready to play come September."

St. Edward recruit Kyle Kalis rescinds his oral commitment to Ohio State
    Doug Lesmerises, The Plain Dealer

COLUMBUS - Ohio State's recruiting suffered a major hit Tuesday night when St. Edward offensive tackle Kyle Kalis rescinded his oral commitment to the Buckeyes, according to Scout.com.*(See*Kyle Kalis' player page.)

Kalis had been the Buckeyes' greatest recruiting success during a tumultuous offseason, with interim coach Luke Fickell able to persuade Kalis to keep his pledge to the Buckeyes in a conversation three weeks ago, soon after Jim Tressel's resignation.

After losing three other highly-rated prospects from Northeast Ohio to other Big Ten teams in recent days, the Kalis news is the toughest yet for Fickell.

But, to repeat, no one can be surprised if Ohio State struggles in recruiting while Fickell carries the interim tag and NCAA sanctions loom. Right now, future Buckeyes don't know who the head coach will be by National Signing Day in February, don't know who their position coach will be and don't know what kind of NCAA sanctions the Buckeyes will be punished with and whether they might include postseason bans or scholarship reductions.

Tuesday, Ohio State received some good news in terms of the car sales investigated by the state BMV, and compared to the newest allegations of violations around the North Carolina football program, Ohio State's violations don't look*quite as*bad.

But uncertainty remains, and it's hard to lure great players into uncertainty. And Kalis is a great high school player. He's ranked as the No. 18 prospect in the country, and top prospect in Ohio, by Rivals.com.

Kalis told Scout he plans to visit Michigan this week and that he is keeping his options open while considering several schools, Ohio State still among them. He holds offers from numerous major programs, including Alabama, Notre Dame, LSU, Miami and most of the Big Ten, including Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Without Kalis, Ohio State now has eight oral commitments in the Class of 2012. Running back Bri'onte Dunn from Canton GlenOak is another Ohio State oral commitment who has seemed open to other schools recently and is the next prospect for OSU fans to keep an eye on.

By National Signing Day in February, Ohio State will be in a more stable situation than it is now, one way or another, and may be able to pull some recruits back into the fold. But for now, losing their highest-rated recruit is nothing but bad news for the Buckeyes.

This fat-bastard is pissing me off! Don't get me wrong, i hope he recommits, but why is he being such a bitch about it? We don't have a ton of scholarships to offer for this class so he should've stayed committed even if he is sniffing around other places. If he ended up finding a better place to go after the NCAA ruling in August, then he could've de-committed. I hope we run out of schollies and he wants to come here and he can't. Not that he wont find somewhere else to go but atleast it would teach this fat bitch a lesson. He looks like a Wisconsin lineman anyways, we already lost one beast OT to them, it better not be 2 now.........
