It's a rare sight whenever you get to witness a no-hitter, either in person or live on TV, Saturday was no exception. I've always dreamed I would get the opportunity to see history be made so it was exciting for me on Saturday. Bright sunny skies remind me why I love watching baseball, but what makes this even more special was that it came against arch rival Michigan! Haha! It doesn't get any better than that!
Alex Wimmers (8-1 this season) struck out 14 batters, facing 1 more than the minimum batters (28), as he pitched the first 9 inning no-hitter in OSU history. Alex becomes the 9th Buckeye to ever pitch a no-hitter, the first since 2003 when Greg Prenger pitched a 7 inning perfect game against Oakland.
Congrats to Alex and the entire Buckeye baseball team for no-hitting tSUN!
