Wow was tressel pissed. He walked out 4 minutes into it. It is obvious things are changing. Kindof surprised about him walking out though. Guess he got tired of answering small questions. Ohio State Football, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, Wrestling, Softball, and More
Wow Good for him to clear up the punt return situation though. For those who haven't watched or seen the transcript. Brian Hartline and Brian Robiskie are our 2 deep punt returners, Posey and Sanzenbacher are working as well though. Lamaar and Boom, or Boom and Saine are our 2 deep guys. And then Mo is the backup at all of those kickoff positions. Lamaar would be our single returner if we went into a single return situation. I think he was late for a class or didn't show up or something, that or he's struggling in school right now, that's what my guess is from hearing the conference.
I agree, but I don't blame him How many questions were asked about North Western? I'm pretty sure every single one was about Small, including the ones about the return game.
I think tressel has realized the OSU is back in the spotlight in a bad way. I think he feels the heat some. He never has acted like this. And rightfully so today. No questions were about the northwestern game. The media made it look like they planned this together before they met with tressel.
A) It's good that Tressel is showing some urgency. B) He did give hints that he wanted to talk about the NW game and was getting frustrated, but he really could have done more. Like, say "Hey guys that's all I'd like to say about Ray, do you have any questions for the NW game?" That's all a coach has to do and reporters should switch off-topic. If they don't - leave. It's that simple. C) I've begun to pick up some things some guys do while questioning, from sitting on some now, that really piss me off. I hate journalists that play dirty. When Tress makes a hint that he wants to talk about the NW game, one of the writers just laughs and then asks two more questions in a row. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that sarcastic laughing mood some guys have makes me mad.
I agree. It's very uncomfortable listening to that because you know it's putting Tress is a bad situation. He's trying to do the best thing for Small (from a fans view) and he wants him to get his life straight. The media just wants to lash out and call him the bad guy, for suspending Small, and trying to get his priorities straight. Kinda ridiculous don't you think?
Even though it was obvious he was annoyed with their persistence in asking the same basic question over and over again, he did maintain his composure. I'd love to see Nick Saban try to be that matter-of-fact.
Good point! I challenge all the rest to keep their cool the way Tress does. Petey does it, when he's not whining. -Jim
I don't blame JT for walking out on it. He dropped hints that he wanted to discuss tomorrow's game against NW and the media wouldn't ask a single real question about it.
