    Smart move.

Playing in an NFL stadium in a big media city. It's a good way to welcome the state of Maryland to the B1G. Plus it will be sweet to play Navy and see all the pre-game stuff since the Naval Academy is also in Maryland.

None of my previous are directed at one poster........

It seems to be an ongoing discussion why Ohio State doesn't schedule better......

My point is it is not easy.

Look at our schedules. Why no SEC teams? They are reluctant to leave the south. Go look. It is not a secret.

A few years ago, I believe an SEC came up to WVa and it was the first time they played north of the mason dixon line for almost 50 years or something......

Ohio State is playing who will play a home and away series, not netural site once every 15 years.

    Just my opinion.

I am not a Gene Smith fan but it is very difficult to schedule.....

i totally get your point OBJ. to over come these types of scheduling issues. i would love to see the Big 10 just end up with 18 teams. i think eventually conferences will continue to move to the super conference layout. you add let's just say Texas and Oklahoma in the west and Fla st and Ga Tech to round out the east. each team in the big ten would have to play 8 divisional games and 2 cross division games. by the end of that stretch you would know who the top 2 teams are in the conference are and settle it on the field.

as for the other conferences would follow suite just in fear of falling behind. both the Big 10, SEC, and Pac 12 would be in the driver seat of this thing. when it is all said and done the season it self would be the playoff. every game each week would have meaning and being the conference champ would truly mean something. it would mean that you automatically would clinch a seed in the national playoff and regionally you would be the best in your region. i think espn, fox, cbs, and nbc have too much of a hand in college football that cause discussions about scheduling and who plays the "tougher" schedule. if the season would of ended 3 weeks ago people would of said it should be Bama vs Oregon or Bama vs Clemson. Ohio state and Fla st wouldn't of even been in the discussion. the bowl system really needs to be abolished because now you have a long slot of 7-4 teams vs 6-6 teams. it's out of hand how much the media props up the teams they want to see play or keep out the teams they don't want to see. the NFL is completely different and that's why it's always fun to watch the playoff system go to work for the NFL.

The problem is, everytime Gene tries to schedule a big slash team, it ends up being when the teams are down, therefor very little splash and our schedule is shallow.....It will happen again next season with a shitty VTech team...

The 3-5 year future schedule may become a thing of the past due to the new playoff.....

We had agreed with Georgia I thought. Bama refused to play a home and home with Wisky. Lsu would only play them on neutral fields, Houston and Lambeau Field. If LSU thinks that Lambeau won't be 95% Badgers they are stupid.

I say if LSU, Bama, Auburn, SCarolina, Tennessee, Florida wont play us in a home and home, then lets talk with Ole Miss, Miss State, A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, anyone except KenSucky and Vandy. I would love to go down to Oxford to play Ole Miss and have our fans take over the Green Grove or whatever it is where they tailgate. We beat the crap out of these teams they can't say that we didn't beat an SEC team.

Oh and when they start that crap or when they refuse to play us, its about time that Urban, Gene, Drake and Archie start talking smack to those schools!

Kind of glad unc series was called off. To me they are one of those teams that hit good stretch but overall are average to good and really does nothing for us

Ohio State Buckeyes add UNLV and Oregon State to future football schedules – The Plain Dealer

Oregon State and UNLV. One top 25 (Beavers were #20 in 2012) finish in the last five years between the two of them. UNLV has only been to one bowl game since 2000. They lost this year to North Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl 14-36.

Here is UNLV record the last 5 years:::::::
    13 7-6
    12 2-11
    11 2-10
    10 2-11
09 5-7 draw ya own conclusions it = a travesty to play this team.

Oregon State for UNC at home is a wash IMO...

So what they basically did was traded an away game @ UNC for a gimme home game...

I understand it, but I'd rather see them pay a team like Pitt or WVU or even Kentucky a couple million to come in for a game at the Shoe with no return trip...

That would compliment the Oklahoma game perfecrtly IMO...

UNLV has former Montana coach Bobby Hauck. He's a damn good coach, but it's just nearly impossible to recruit football players to UNLV. Too many temptations and distractions.

So in 2022 and 2023 we'll play both Notre Dame AND Texas? Should be interesting.
