Corey Dennis was elevated to a senior quality control coach position with the Ohio State football program in July 2018. In this new position, Dennis has increased off-field coaching responsibilities in the areas of game planning, practice planning and daily organization with both the wide receiver and quarterback units. He works alongside head coach Ryan Day and receivers coach Brian Hartline. Dennis is in his fifth season on the Ohio State coaching staff. He was a graduate assistant coach on offense for the 2016 and 2017 seasons working primarily with the Buckeye receivers, and he worked as an intern in 2015. He has been a part of back-to-back Big Ten Conference championship teams at Ohio State and also victories in the 2019 Rose Bowl, the 2018 Cotton Bowl and the 2016 Fiesta Bowl. A former high school receiver and quarterback for his Troy, Ala., hometown team Charles Henderson High, Dennis was the first player in school history to rush and pass for more than 1,000 yards when he did so as a senior in 2010. The team captain was then recruited to Georgia Tech as a wide receiver but ultimately ended up doing much more for coach Paul Johnson’s Yellow Jackets. He played receiver, he played in the defensive secondary and he was a key special team’s performer between 2011 and 2014. He finished his career by playing in all 54 games for Tech teams that won two ACC Coastal Division titles and played in four bowl games. Dennis graduated from Georgia Tech December 2014 with his degree in business administration. He joined the Ohio State staff as an intern in time for the 2015 spring season. He graduated with his master’s in sports management from Ohio State in 2017. Dennis is married to the former Nicki Meyer, who also is a Georgia Tech graduate and who was a four-year student-athlete with the Georgia Tech volleyball team. The couple resides in Dublin, Ohio, with their young sons, Troy and Gray.
I love this “potential” hire! I think this locks up a QB coach for the next decade for Day to mentor. And I hear he’ll be a great recruiter!
When Fields, Haskins, and JT all vouch for you, you're good to go in my book. Like it's been said. I think Day can keep Hartline and Dennis around for extended period and create stability on offensive side Plus, doesnt hurt that you get to have one of the greatest coaches ever at your finger tips for advice

Ryan Day knows his system for developing quarterbacks works, so he didn't want Ohio State's new QB coach to come in and try to change that.
