I don't know what kind of rep this magazine has but they had a free preview on espn.com. It was ok but towards the end they summed it up this way. Offense: C Special Teams: B+ Defense: C+ Intangibles: A- http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/insi...espn.go.com/ncf/insider/news/story?id=3479660 I know we are pretty much all homers over here but that may have been the worst overall sum rankings I have ever seen.
That is garbage ratings for a top 5 team! Since when is our special teams better than the rest of the team and what exactly are the intangibles?
The defense analysis is "B", which is still way low. Name 3 defenses in D-IA better than Ohio State. Maybe, you could say USC but other than that...Oklahoma? Texas?, West Virginia? I'm not seeing it.
I've heard the ratings are all mixed up. Like Notre Dame is better than OSU. Michigan has an A+ offense. OSU's ratings were probably given to some random team like SMU, who now had haigher hopes for their season.
On any other site, if we were to disagree with these ratings, it would be considered homerism. That is why I like this site, where I can show my true feelings, without being bashed. These are an absolute joke. It looks like some 11 year old kid came on and gave his ratings. I want to know how our offense is a C... We have a solid Senior QB, who is going to step up and be dominant this year. We have the best RB in the land, no question. Don't give me that crap that Knowshown Moreno is better than Beanie. He isn't. We have a WR that predicted to go in the first round to go along with another solid WR who is a great possesion receiver that has a lot of speed in Hartline. We have a WR, who isn't, but is compared to Ginn in someways. Our OL is top 5 in the country and number 1 in the Big Ten. Our TEs are both very good, and both 6'6". That rating is joke. Now defense. Don't even let me get started on this. A C+? I nearly peed my pants when I read that. Seriously, I am going to save myself from getting banned over this. I will end here.
I first saw this on another site posted by a USC fan with the thread title: "Is this a joke" So I think most people understand something isn't right here....at least I hope so.
Offense: The best RB in the nation, a top 5-10 QB along with Terrelle Pryor, a LOADED WR corps, one of the top LT's in the nation, and we're only a C? Special Teams: I think B+ might be too generous. Trappasso could be one of the better punters in the nation, but last year he's kinda disappointed. Defense: Returning the Butkus award winner and returning the best CB in the nation. A solid DL, an under the radar LB in Marcus Freeman and only a C+? Whoever made these grades is either clueless or just a flat out Buckeye hater.
Yeah, I'm not sure. I just really have to think that some of these have been mixed up. Also, anyone notice they still have Antonio Henton competing for a backup job even though he transferred a month ago?
