OHIO STATE MAKING PUSH FOR DAKORIEN MOORE
Five-star 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore may be committed to LSU, but that hasn’t stopped Brian Hartline and Ohio State from continuing to pursue the Texas prospect.

Per 247Sports, Moore says the Buckeyes, Oregon and Texas continue to push for him in his recruitment.

"Ohio State is back in the mix," Moore told 247Sports. "They are starting to talk to me more. Coach (Brian) Hartline was focused on his class in 2024, but he's starting to come hard."

If Moore schedules a visit to Ohio State, it would certainly be worth monitoring.

The smoke regarding 2025 five-star wide receiver/current LSU commit Dakorien Moore and his interest in Ohio State is very real according to Bill Kurelic.

    DAKORIEN MOORE
Moore may already be committed to LSU, but the Buckeyes are very much in the thick of this recruitment. Five-star Ohio State cornerback commit Devin Sanchez has been in Moore's ear about teaming up with him in Columbus for a few months and likely won't stop any time soon. Moore is also expected to visit Ohio State this weekend and considering who's in charge of recruiting wideouts to the Buckeyes, it can't be discounted that Ohio State eventually flips Moore before all is said and done with the 2025 cycle.

While Dakorien Moore may be committed to LSU, his recruitment is far from over.

The five-star prospect, rated as the No. 1 wideout in the 2025 recruiting cycle, told 247Sports he’s narrowed his recruitment to four schools and has shut down communication with all others: Ohio State, LSU, Oregon and Texas.

Moore, who committed to LSU last August, is expected to visit Columbus this weekend. He visited Baton Rouge last week and will visit Texas next month.

One of Ohio State’s five-star cornerback commits has been the strongest peer recruiter to help the Buckeyes land a fellow Texan.

"Devin (Sanchez) is coming on strong,” Moore told 247Sports. “As soon as he committed, he's been trying to flip me. I'd definitely like to play with him. Ohio State is coming on strong. I feel like they know what they are doing just talking with them."

In Moore’s junior season, he hauled in 71 passes for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Ohio State is one to watch for five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore according to On3’s Chad Simmons. He adds: “I was told by someone close to him that the Ohio State visit checked every box. He’ll be back and wants to get back as soon as he can to Columbus.”

This weekend’s recruiting visitor list just got a lot more intriguing.

Five-star Texas wideout Dakorien Moore, ranked the No. 1 wideout in the 2025 class, will be making his second visit of the spring to Columbus this weekend for the Buckeyes’ spring game. He previously visited campus in March for a spring practice.

“What impresses me about Ohio State is how many different types of playmakers and NFL-ready players they have,” Moore told On3. “They had a good practice when I came by and it looked real competitive. Everyone looked like they were into the practice and wanted to work. It was just a good day in the office for the guys.

“Another thing that impresses me is how consistent (Brian) Hartline is on getting the best receiver from each class and makes them even better and ultimately a first-round draft pick.”

Moore has been committed to LSU since last August but is also still considering OSU, Texas and Oregon. Ohio State five-star cornerback commit Devin Sanchez has been a vocal peer recruiter of Moore as he’s attempting to get his fellow Texan to join him in Columbus.

Moore will be visiting Ohio State with his mother and opted to see Columbus for a second time this spring instead of competing in a seven-on-seven tournament.

In Moore’s junior season, he hauled in 71 passes for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns en route to leading Duncanville High School (Duncanville, Texas) to a state championship.

According to Bill Kurelic 2025 five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore and his mother will not be at the Buckeyes spring game on Saturday. Moore's Area Track Meet was moved from today to Friday. Bill adds that because of this they won’t be able to visit Ohio State this weekend.
