A 2024 offensive tackle prospect high on Ohio State is getting ready to make a spring visit to Columbus.

Three-star North Carolina prospect Eagan Boyer confirmed he will visit Columbus on April 4 and is interested in seeing what the Buckeyes have to offer.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the town and school, but most importantly, getting to know the coaches better and watching them coach,” Boyer told Eleven Warriors.

Boyer, a 6-foot-8, 265-pound tackle, has a busy spring ahead of him. In addition to Ohio State, he’ll visit Auburn, Clemson, Michigan State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin this spring, all of whom have extended an offer to the North Carolina prospect.

An Ohio State offer has yet to come for Boyer, considered the 513th-best prospect and 43rd-best tackle in the 2024 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. But he’s hoping that changes soon.

“An offer would be awesome,” Boyer said. “It’s a top program that’s in the mix for a national championship every year, so it would be huge to have an opportunity to play there.”

Boyer is hoping to develop a connection with offensive line coach Justin Frye while on his visit, but he said his primary recruiter has been director of recruiting strategy Nick Murphy.

“I’ve mainly spoken with coach Murph,” Boyer said. “He’s from Charlotte and played at one of my rivals. They like my length and athleticism like most of the schools do. We haven’t talked about a position, but I’m assuming they are looking at me as a tackle. Playing for a top winning program and knowing I’m going to get developed to my full potential (would be appealing about Ohio State).”
