    Here’s what I envision...

Justin transfers to Ohio State, wins the job, Tate transfers to Oklahoma, both are in New York in two years.

I've never bought into Martell so I would be very interested in this.

Just keep in mind there may be a few more high profile quarterbacks looking to transfer...……..

Also, we currently have a 2019 verbal commitment at the QB position who is wavering and I guarantee if this gets serious...…….Martell is gone...……….I am almost certain that Fields and his father will want a commitment he will be the starter before deciding on a school...……

Not sure I like rocking the boat in the QB room in the first year of new coach's head coaching career...….

In my personal life I do not gamble...………...high risk and high reward type of situation...……….

I’d take Fields all day! Fields is the Haskins and Martell is the Burrow, imo.

No one should be “given” a starting spot without proving yourself in practice first. Martell shouldn’t automatically be the starter because he’s been here a few years. I think Fields is a better QB.

Fields may project better at the next level but I am not ready to say he is a better college quarterback than Martell who was national player of the year and each year played a hell of a schedule...…..

This is risky...........if this does not go right, Ohio State could be starting a quarterback coming off a ACL with no depth behind him...….

I also agree no one should be given the starting spot but if anyone thinks Fields is not getting a yes or no answer from all the schools is just being naïve. This is how it works with a 5 star QB who only has so much time to see the field to make it to the NFL.

My opinion is that Ohio State should not entertain this and move forward...…...

I'm in the 1% that think Baldwin will beat out Martell anyway. Martell is not a Ryan Day type of QB. Baldwin fits the mold a lot more. Fields throws all this out the window, if he comes, he starts.

    *Martell (23/28, 82.1%, 269 yards, 10.3 YPA, 1 TD, 0 INT, 5.8 YPC, 2TD)
    *Fields (27-39 passing, 69.2%, 328 yards, 10.5 YPA, 4 TD, 0 INT, 6.3 YPC, 4TD)

Small sample size. Does anyone know if Fields fits the Ryan Day type of QB or is Ryan Day going to adjust to his QBs strengths and weaknesses?

Fields has a great arm from what I’ve seen. He’s 6’3”, which I like.

I really liked Tate for Urban’s offense. Not as much for Day’s.

I love Fields in Day’s offense. I’d hate to watch him become OU’s 3rd Heisman in a row.

How sure are we that “Day’s offense” is a 50 pass per game, no QB runs, game plan? Day is a product of Chip Kelley and he coached Colin Keapernick. I think we need to consider the possibility that the 2018 offense was more of a product of Day recognizing the talent of Haskins and depth of the receiving core, and adapting to personnel.
