Regular season is ending tonight I think... playoffs are right around the corner... who's the favorite right now? I like the Bulls, they seem to have the deepest team.

I really think the heat can take it all the way this year. Lebron Wade and Bosh are going to have been together for an entire season now. If not the heat, the bulls

I'm rooting for the Heat, but if I was putting money down it would be on the Lakers.

I'm not sold on the Bulls. I love the defensive game they play, but they're yet to prove they can go deep into the playoffs. They've won only one series since MJ was there, and that was 4 years ago with an entirely different squad.

I don't want to discount the Celtics (like I probably did last season), but I think the mid-season trade hurt the line-up and locker-room chemistry.

All I've been hearing these last two weeks is how great Rose has been.

Right now he is shooting 35.2% and as a point guard averaging 6 assists and 4 turnovers is not good.

I think Conelly has had a great first round so far.

CP3 is makin it a series! The Hornets have some pieces to be a good team but I didn't think that the Lakers would have much trouble with them......

If anyone gets a chance to watch the Hornets, check out how some of our incoming freshmen compare to current Hornets-

    CP3- Shannon Scott
    Trever Ariza- LaQuinton Ross
    Emeka Okafor- Amir Williams
    Carl Landry- Trey McDonald

The Hornets don't have anybody on their team as athletic as 6'7 Sam Thompson but watching New Orleans could give you an idea of what we've got coming in to OSU next season. The future is bright!

Watchout for Atlanta! If they're able to finish off Orlando, I really think that they can give the Bulls a good series, and maybe advance to the Eastern Conference Finals......

    Heard it here first!!!!!!

When is Howard's contract up? Has he said he will sign with Orlando?

Howard will be a free agent in the 2012 off-season. Some people say that if he doesn't sign an extension this year (which he won't), they should trade him (which they shouldn't).

Conley has out-played Tony Parker thus far... It's nice to see, he's been considered a "disappointment" by a lot of people.

    Rumors...Rumors......

Howard isn't going to sign an extension with the Magic this offseason so Orlando doesn't want to lose him and get nothing in return.

Talks have been that Orlando could trade D12 mid-season (similar to Melo) next year to possibly the Lakers for Bynum and others (possibly Odom) or to the Nets for Lopez and 100 draft picks to team up with Deron Williams for the inaugural season in Brooklyn.

Organizations dont want to get stuck with nothing in return for their superstars like Cleveland and Toronto did. We saw the beginning of this trend earlier this season with Utah and Denver trading the expireing contracts of D-Will (2012 exp) and Melo during the mid-season. Next season, we will most likely see Dwight Howard and Chris Paul get dealt before their contracts expire at the end of the 2012 season.

We're also seeing teams now sign there superstars to extended contracts earlier than usual (Kevin Durant) so they don't face the risk of losing there best assets for nothing in return. With the current salary cap in the NBA, a small market team like the OKC Thunder will have a tough time sustaining success because after the Durant deal, and if they extend/resign Russell Westbrook's contract, there's not much more money to spread around to free agents and OKC isn't an easy place to recruit good, veteran, free agents for cheap. The few veteran free agents that are willing to sign cheap with a potential winning team, are more likely to go to a bigger market team such as Miami, L.A, New York, Boston, etc....

We will be lucky to have NBA basketball at all next season because of the financial mess. The NBA is in much worse economic condition than the NFL and we all see the drama going on in football right now. The only way I believe that D12 or CP3 don't get dealt mid-season next year is if there is no season at all......

Like I said though, just rumors.........

Conley was considered a disappointment early on in his career but now he's respected around the league as a good young point guard. He has improved his numbers every season since being drafted by Memphis in 2007. Keep in mind, he's still only 23!

He has improved every season in the following categories-
Mins, FGA, FG%, PPG, Asts, & Stls

    07-08= 9.4ppg, 4.2ast, .8stl
    08-09= 10.9ppg, 4.3ast, 1.1stl
    09-10= 12.0ppg, 5.3ast, 1.4stl
    10-11= 13.7ppg, 6.5ast, 1.8stl

Conley has stepped up big for the Grizzlies ever since Rudy Gay went down with the injury a few months ago. With O.J. Mayo and Zach Randolph being distractions, Conley has stepped up and became a young leader for the Grizzlies this season leading Memphis to its 1st ever playoff win and they are closing in on upsetting the Spurs in the 1st round. Memphis also showed alot of trust in Conley when they traded away Kyle Lowry last season to give the entire point gaurd job to him. Memphis also recently resigned Conley to an extended contract.

The future is bright for this former Buckeye!
