    There's a ton of rumors going around that he is possilby committing to ND today.. Anyone got the scoop on this? *cough*SanDiegoorFireman*cough*

    Noone has confirmed anything. It all seems to revolve around the longo commitment. Noone is sure as of yet either way.

    Yeah I haven't heard anything today. Those on the inside say Watt will still be a Buckeye, but I've always felt he was ND all the way.

    Not at all. When he received his ND offer I felt it was a done deal. The only thing that really kept OSU in the race with Watt was that Watt is good friends with Garrett Goebel. Goebel and his uncle (who helped GG in his recruiting process) came oh so close in convincing Chris to go to OSU. In the end, ND was the team that was #1 in his heart.

    You were right San Diego. When Sam Longo committed, you said in the chat that, that scares you about Chris Watt. You were right.

    I have been saying for weeks he was Notre Dame bound. Again we offered a lesser talent in JUNE (Longo) and we lost an all-star. We had plenty of blue chippers who were still seriously considering OSU, Mcgee, Vlad, E.J Hunter, D.J. Hunter and we fill their spots with Longo, Newsome and Mcdonald. Tressel is the man no doubt, he knows what he is doing but I think we lost a couple because the buck staff got impatient and offered others. Its only July, we could have afforded to wait till the fall. Longo would have commited anytime we offered.

    Thats the product of Zook recruiting the way he has been. We have such a class early because we didn't want him to steal our guys. We will have a great class, but we're going to miss out on several. Don't forget about Marlon Brown. He said that we were definately in his top 5 from the start when he had 20+ offers, but we grabbed some other guys early.

    We'll see how things go, but I bet we still have a top 5, maybe only top 10 class.
