    2008 Ohio State Buckeye Football
    Game 9: #3 Penn State Nittany Lions (8-0, 4-0) vs. #10 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1, 4-0)
    at Ohio Stadium (Columbus, OH)

    Date: October 25th, 2008
    TV: ABC
    Kick Off: 8:00 PM ET

Most important Big Ten game of the year. The Buckeyes are coming off a strong game in East Lansing so it's crucial that we come out with the same intensity and focus against Penn State.

Night game in Columbus! This will be a first for me! I'm so excited.

If this game was in Penn st at night, this might be a tougher one to call. But i'd definitely say it's in OSUs odds to win (other than the fact that they are ranked lower) but from looking at how the two teams played last week and how Penn st showed flaws in their defense in the first half against Michigan...i'd say OSU has got this one.

Each team has it's own weaknesses are neither are unbeatable. The team that forces the most TOs will win the game.

Turnovers are huge. If your force them and win the turnover battle your odds of winning increase dramatically.

Ohio State wins Big Ten games. Ohio State beats Penn State in Columbus. These are two things that are near mortal locks.

All of the bandwagoners who have Penn State up at #3 need to just calm down. Sure, they have looked good when Darryl Clark gets all kinds of time to throw and they make big plays on special teams because no one seems like they want to bother tackling Derrick Williams. Neither of these things will happen in Columbus.

If you take away the big special teams plays and get pressure on Penn State's QB, then the Nittanies are just an average team, 20 point scoring team. Ohio State will be able to score 24 points and win the game.

Let's get some more talking going in these game threads. One of the biggest games of the year, we should be talking about this game.

I'm excited to see it. Especially since so many people watching this game are unsure of who would possibly win. I saw on sportscenter they picked osu to win by 3 though.

I'am a little bit nervous about this game. Penn State is a good all around team and can beat anyone in any phase of the game. But I like our chances because they seem to have some trouble with the run and our backfield is deadly. Our defense has to get pressure though if they dont Clark and Royster will rip us up.

Maybe if Sean Lee was healthy I'd be nervous, but I'm thinking we take them by more than 7

Turnovers, special teams and TOSU O-line will be deciding factors.

I believe our defense is finally showing! It is up to our O-line to take control! Would be nice to see our special teams make a play; long return or big hit on punt or kick-off that causes a fumble that we recover or inspires a hitting frenzy by the "silver bullet defense"!

Can't wait to watch on my new big screen T.V.

    Go Bucks!
