Well I sure as hell ate crow on that one... My French peeps are officially believers. USA all the way, baby!

This is basically what's going to happen.

Germany will rest it's starters for most of the match, which will keep the US at bay... Germany doesn't want to risk having to face a well-rested Portugal or a rematch with Ghana.

    We'll advance...

Germany will try to win in the first half but if its tied after the 45 I think it will be a tie. If they run out Klose and Scweinsteiger I really don't like our chances. The chemistry between those two is scary. Germany is the best team in the WC this year. Germany's bench is better than most of the countries starting lineups. I've really enjoyed Michael Ballack on the ESPN coverage. They have been smart by bringing in a lot of the greats from around the world instead of just giving those gigs to former Team USA players like Marcelo Balboa and Eric Wynalda.

Impressive to get out of the group...US Soccer is playing with house money now...beating Belgium would be great.

Keith Olbermann really trashed US Soccer and US Soccer fans last night...pretty douchy move IMHO...I don't get soccer haters, if you don't like it, don't watch it and shut the hell up. I think tennis and golf are brutally boring to watch but I don't go out of my way to trash either sport.

Isn't he that guy with the Brutally painful sports show. I've never been a fan of his. Personally I'm not a soccer fan so I really don't put too much into it either way. I do feel IMO it's stupid to let games end in ties or celebrate ties. I believe all game should have a winner and loser

Olbermann is a baseball guy... and a douche. He's usually funny though.

He talks like there are only 16 soccer-playing countries in the world. Or that our tie with Portugal somehow should've meant more to Portugal, who we were clearly better than. Or that a win over Ghana isn't an accomplishment.

Not nearly as bad as what Coulter is spewing though.

The tie to Portugal was what every coach preaches. You NEVER STOP until the final whistle has blown

Ol'blowaman is a dick. A big mouth lib-tard that never had his hand in the dirt but is an expert on everything.

    Go Bucks!

If Brazil was to lose, I don't know if it would be safe for teams left

    Josy's back... again... probably!

The overtimes and penalties have been exciting, but I hope USMNT can do what they need to do in 90 minutes. Shootouts are nerve wrecking. Although, Belgium's keeper is a stud too.

I can't wait for the game..Belgium will be very tough. Mexico losing was great, their coach went off the rails. "The World Cup has been against Mexico since is started" LOL blah blah blah The Mexican Chris Farley.

ESPN has actually been decent, and the Men in Blazers have been very funny.

My CEO is a "cool boss" (I love him for it), but I know he secretly wants the US to lose already so he doesn't have to keep letting me and the couple other sports-nuts in the office spend ½ the day at Buffalo Wild Wings.

'Can't believe the Swiss are pushing Argentina like they are. They've captured a lot of momentum here in extra time.
