2010-2013 RB - Carlos Hyde (2013 All-Big Ten)

I think this is going to get ugly, not nessisarly (sp) for Hyde but like we are pointing out if he blasted her why does she have more than a bruise. Also if sources are saying video tells different story than these witnesses have provided false testimonies, and if he turns out innocent they have tainted his rep


Realistically what I'm hoping is he was in an altercation with a male and she was just wrong place wrong time , or cut in too late. Then it's not really assaulting a female in the sense we are being lead to believe. If that's case then maybe Meyer lets him back on team and he serves 1 game suspension for conduct


But if he "BLASTED" the girl, keep him away

 

i hope my comments from earlier don't point to me automatically taking hyde's side. i think every can agree something happened but i questioned the story of the female who was hit. i read somewhere that she said he asked to dance with her and she refused. then all the sudden he punched her. i just think right now there's a lot of holes in this story and the CPD has even charged hyde yet. not saying it can't happen tomorrow or any other day but we can only hope for the best.

 

I am always for hearing both sides before coming to a conclusion. "The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him."

 

it will be interesting what this video evidence shows. if there's not substantial evidence the DA will throw this out. i find it weird she was punched and all there was swelling and no bruises. also, if he did punch her i am sure he would have swelling on his fist or some kind of marking on him. i am really anxious to see how this story plays out. like i said i hope this is just a mix up but at the same time if it's true he should have the book thrown at him.

Saw that last night. Hopefully today more comes out about this video tape.

 

I wonder if this could influence the preseason polls in any way? If Oregon comes out ahead and runs the table Ohio State could be man out. That would suck. Starting to get the feeling like the Hyde story might not stick. Lots of Hummmms coming out. Course this could all be second hand stuff. Keep me posted guys.

After reading this dispatch article the tape showed Hyde patting the girl on the face. If this is the case I doubt gets charged.

 

This ticks me off almost as much. They should crack down on these "victims" who try to press charges and sue everyone. It is getting ridiculous, they can ruin someone's future with this stupid stuff. Easy answer, stay out of clubs.

The alleged victim said in the police report she did not know her assailant but that she could recognize him.If Hyde gains a reprieve, sources said yesterday, it might be in large part because of a video of the incident that allegedly shows him giving the woman a pat on the cheek after she had struck him. Sources say Meyer constantly tells his players to walk away if there is the slightest hint of an altercation with a female. Meyer immediately dismissed linebacker Storm Klein from the team last summer when he was accused of having a physical altercation with a former girlfriend in his apartment. But when Klein was cleared of the charges, he was reinstated to the team.

This is all starting to sound like a jealous girl getting pissed off and attempting to ruin Carlos' career...

If that is true, I hope he sues the hell out of her for Defamation of character.

really hoping this is true, but we all now how things change overnight, and then if so i hope all those ****s who say she was "Blasted" get theirs.If Carlos is found innocent he may want to spend some time playing xbox on weekends for next few weeks

 

I don't think this will even go to court. Not enough evidence to back the girl's story up.
