SI - Ohio State hires Penn State's Larry Johnson 11W - Larry Johnson finalizing to join tOSU's staff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw9vvOc0CuY
i love this hire. Penn st D line always gave us trouble when we played them. Let's not leave out that the guy can recruit the hell out of the Maryland beltway and New Jersey area big time. Meyer hit a HR if you ask me.
People are starting to come around, when this was announced it seemd like 50% thought it was a bad hire. I love it as well. Penn State fans aren't even flaming him as he leaves, they are sad to see him go.
the guy has the experience and knows the recruiting grounds. Having him on the staff will help us win those battles with ACC and Penn st in recruiting. This takes the sting away from Mikey V leaving for the Texans.
There was a few of us who liked it. I love this pickup, when he turned down Franklin, I was hoping Urb would give him a ring. 100% class act, great coach and motivator, fantastic at developing players, AND he's an ace recruiter. Home run Urban!
For all the good things I've heard about Johnson, I'm impressed.... But he has bug shoes to fill. Bosa'll make him look good
Yeah I didn't mean on this message board, just the broad scope of Buckeye fans and the comments I saw across the internet. I like we have a pretty rational bunch here.
soon we'll be talking in this thread how instrumental LJ Sr. was in our national championship(s) under Meyer.

"Really impressed w/ the Ohio State players. Met (some) players & thought, ‘wow,’ these are the kinds of players I want to coach." - LJ Sr.— Brandon Castel (@BCastOhio) January 15, 2014 “In just a few hours I can tell that Ohio State cares about football,” Johnson said. “There is a winning tradition that is important here."— Brandon Castel (@BCastOhio) January 15, 2014
