Arizona speedster Allen will visit Ohio State........Arizona's Devon Allen, a two-sport star for Brophy Prep High School in Phoenix will make a trip to Columbus on July 27th. What does the talented wide receiver hope to see when he takes in the Buckeyes' "Friday Night Lights"?

Also sounds like WR Devon Allen showed off some serious speed in the 'Shoe tonight. #FridayNightLights

Breaking down Allen's game..............Phoenix (Ariz.) wide receiver Devon Allen made the trip to Ohio to show off for the Ohio State coaching staff in hopes of learning an offer. The returns are not in yet but we have our own scouting report.

Allen still taking his time...............One of the nation's fastest players is trying to slow down his recruitment to make sure that he sees all that he needs to see. His latest trip brought him to the midwest to check out Ohio State for "Friday Night Lights". How does Urban Meyer and his staff see this talented wide receiver being used?

Why is Allen ranked so low, and have a boat load of offers? Anybody have the inside scoop?

I think it has a ton to do with Arizona............

I was told he was the most polished wide receiver at FNL............

Allen impressed by ND..............Devon Allen heard plenty about Notre Dame before he visited South Bend on Saturday. The Irish still surprised him.

I thought I read that Gibson was the best showing wr at fnl. With cut and routs, and Allen was straight line.

More than one person writing about what they saw with different evaluations............

Gibson is raw..........Allen is more polished............but Gibson is plan A.............Allen is plan B.............

From what I saw, and I am no expert, Gibson was far and away better than Allen. Faster, shiftier, more explosive.

From what I understand, it’d be like comparing Ginn and Gonzo. They were different style players. Ginn was faster and shiftier but Gonzo had better hands and ran better routes...Both were very valuable, though.

Well, I’ve never heard anything of Santonio having problems dropping balls. Gibson’s knock is his hands, as was Ginn’s. That’s why I compared the two.

    Gotcha....

I was reffereing more to the route running/shiftiness than hands....

We may never see another Ginn come thru tOSU. He has such rare speed and change of direction. I wish Urban were coach when Ginn was in S&G!
