I just think Sparty is that good. I go by my eyeballs. They told me that Nebraska and Wisconsin wern't as good as their ranking and Sparty was better than both. I also think Michigan is better than Nebraska.

So MSU is the best team in the Big Ten? WOW! The conference really does suck pretty bad! There is no way our best team can get blown out by ND and say the Big Ten is a good conference! I am just looking at it realistically.

ND-MSU as an example? Earlier in this thread you said the better, more talented team doesn't always win.

Yes, Michigan St. and Wisconsin are the best teams in the B1G. Fairly even between the 2. If last night's game was in Madison, I would've taken Wisky.

The B1G is a bit down but that's mainly because the best 2 programs in the whole mid-west are having down years. Ohio State & Michigan's success and failures have a direct effect in the power of the conference.

I did say that...but I don't think Brian Kelly Is a better coach than D'Antonio! And I don't think that the best team in the Big Ten should be getting blown out by Notre Dame! Not in the last 20 years. USC is probably the 3rd best team in the Pac12 and beat them. South Florida is In last place in the Big East and beat ND!

Al I am saying is, the Big Ten has a bad reputation and MSU being our best team this year is not helping it at all. Look at what happened when they played Alabama last year!

    Fair enough.

And Wisconsin ~ TCU doesn't do us any favors either.

Exactly! I am just ready for the Big Ten to get to where it is at least in the conversation with the SEC...i think we have been close, but can't get over the hump. I would say with MSU coming along lately, Brady Hoke will have scUM turned around, Nebraska is going to continue to be solid, and once JoePa is gone PSU will be back. Not to mention what Urban Meyer would do at OSU! 3-5 years from now, the Big Ten could be the up there with the likes of the SEC.

Urban Meyer would be able to draw a lot of recruits away from the SEC schools, and with a strong scUM in a couple more years under Hoke that's even more big recruits coming back to the B1G. I think Things are finally getting things settled in again at Wisky and they'll be a solid team for a while... as long as Bret 'Bulimia' doesn't choke as bad as his D did last night, or bench his most talented players in the big games(John Clay barely played at all against TCU in the Rose Bowl... honestly, how effing dumb do you have to be to sit a 1,000 yard rusher?) I def agree, the next decade for the B1G will see it return to the prominence it held up until the '90s.

I think that the SEC is looking at some setbacks in the near future as well. Eventually everyone else in the country is going to look at the NCAA and tell them quit f'ing around, because they obviously aren't efficient in these investigations. It's a no-brainer that these schools are dirty as hell, and slick as astroglide. And hopefully the NCAA will finally grab its pair and they'll finally start dropping the hammer on SEC schools for all the shit they've been getting away with.

I guess this makes Michigan not look so bad for losing...definitely sucks for the big 10 that MSU beat Wisconsin though...

It might be a blessing in disguise, this will prevent Wisconsin losing by 30 or 40 to Alabama in the NC game. If they can't handle TCU on the big stage they would have made me very nervous facing an SEC team with a coach like Saban. Bielemma is a big dumb goof who has no imagination whatsoever.

We might need confidence builder games this off season for the B1G to be honest.
