Ohio State Baseball (1966 National Champions)

The Big Ten Conference and Ohio State announced schedules for the 2021 baseball season.

The Buckeyes will begin in Greenville, South Carolina, with a four-game series against Illinois. Their home opener will be March 26.

The Buckeyes propelled four hits into three runs in the 13th inning to defeat Illinois 6-3 and earn their first win of the 2021 season on Friday.

Freshman right fielder Kade Kern went 5-6 and was a home run shy of the cycle in his collegiate debut.

The Buckeyes scored the go-ahead run in the ninth inning to win Game 1 and their second game of the season on Saturday.

Game 2 of the doubleheader against Illinois will start at approximately 2:10 p.m.
