Let's be real NK never had any intent to sit down and talk to either the US or South Korea. This is a straight ploy to gain sympathy. Many will fall for it sadly, too bad those who do will never understand the horrors the people of NK are put through by their own leaders

NK already sat down, shook hands, and welcomed South Korean leadership across its border. This is an attempt by NK to interject themselves between the US and S. Korea's military partnerships in order to push the US out of the yellow sea. And it plays directly into China's hands now that the TPP is dead.

Trump, unfortunately, seems either too dim or too proud to recognize this as he leaps at any kind of praise/attention that is thrown his way. He isn't tied to any kind of morality (human rights, staying true to allies, upholding American agreements/treaties, etc). He's simply in this for himself, and is willing to lavish praise and approve meetings with foreign leaders, dignitaries, and media entities who then have the leverage to embarrass him on a world stage.

North Korea needs to be held accountable via sanctions for its human rights transgressions, and Kim Jong Un needs to be removed from leadership if things don't change. The US can't afford to falter here, as this could greatly weaken our position in the region re: trade and military presence.

If they do not intend to meet with U.S.

Of course North Korea's human rights violations and authoritative regime cannot be tolerated by the US or international community. However, I think it would be wise to explore diplomatic agreements targeted solely on eliminating their nuclear capabilities like the Iran agreement, but it may be too late for that —especially now that the US isn't going to honor that agreement.

The Trump Administration and their propaganda network's campaign to already take credit for World Peace hurt our bargaining position here, but it wasn't good to begin with. NK's regime has been elevated to a nuclear-ready state (of course, not Trump's fault) but now seemingly has high diplomatic status on the international stage. It's going to take more than economic pressure and military presence near their borders for NK to give up their nuclear capabilities. Once they aren't a nuclear state, they're susceptible to Iraq or Libia-style regime change. I think it's more likely that the US administration will look to curb their ICBM program to protect the continental USA from direct attack, but that doesn't do much for our allies in Japan and South Korea.

Guiliani made this up, btw. Several news sources have confirmed that this date was floated around by Giuliani in order to initiate outrage in conservative media when the investigation goes past it.

The Russians have attempted to cause problems in our elections since the 1920's...just as our CIA has since the late 40's...and recent examples of the Obama administrations attempts in Israel, Africa, etc. https://spectator.org/obamas-meddling-in-foreign-elections-six-examples/
Our economy is stable to strong in some regions (Gulf Coast - if you are not working you do not want to; drug test, lazy, etc.), unemployment is at an all time low for everyone...even those that have historically voted democrat...like him or not...Hilary lost Trump won...get over it.
