ya, Boeckman looked great indeed! Oh, ya I did hear that we had no punts. Pretorious had a great game also. Malcom Jenkins had that beautiful pick 6. Just beautiful!

This was our best game of the year. Glad to see we struck early and often. Everyone played great for the most part. If we continue to play like this then we can go very far. I hope it continues.

Very good game last night! I'm glad to see that we played well against a tough opponent in a very tough environment.

I thought our O-Line played extremely well. They were able to give Todd tremendous amount of time to pass the ball while also opening up lanes for boths well's to run the ball!

Boeckman is getting a lot of love from the media now. Stewart Mandel compared him to Tom Brady! I wonder if he'll finally put OSU as his #1?

Yep, only one on Boeckman's blind side. Not bad considering PSU was #1 in sacks.

Those who are intent on hating us will continue to hate us no matter what until we beat LSU. However, I'm noticing on other mixed-fanbase message boards that a lot of people are starting respect us. People who were saying that we didn't even deserve to be in the top 10 a few weeks ago (when we became #1), are now saying we are legitimitely the #1 team.

Taking the crowd out of the game was huge. I don't think there was any question who had the better team, the question was how would Ohio State handle the white-out and it didn't phase them at all. Boeckman was outstanding and the defense dominated as usual. There wasn't a team in America that would have beaten us last night. Great game!

    .....no more Maurice Wells please.

Oh goodness. Everytime Mo Wells comes in I just say "Warm out the punting unit" cause he almost never does anything. Tonight he was average though... from what I saw in the first quarter and a half.

Wells had a few decent carries last night including two first downs. But for the most part it was the same old dance for a one yard gain when he could have fallen forward for a 4 yard gain.

He could be a weapon on long yardage situations and just dump it out to him in the flat. He has no business getting more than 3 or 4 carries a game. Brandon Saine should be getting carries and/or way more touches. It's ridiculous.

anyone notice that Joe Pa did not have head phones on the whole night , nor did he have a clip board or any kind of paper. Does this mean he is not doing the coaching? and basically getting the credits for wins to try and beat out Bobby Bowden? seems a little odd.

    ???

Joe Pa never has the headphones or clipboard. I honestly think he was done coaching years ago and he's only a figurehead now.

I actually feel bad to be in PSU's situation right now in regards to Joe Pa. IMO it's time for Joe to hang it up. Like some of you have observed, he doesn't really do much game day stuff, but I'm sure he still coaches the the day to day stuff of the team during the week. During game days he lets his coaches call the game, and he only yells at them when something gets messed up. Personally I'd hate to be one of his coaches, I'm sure they would like to bring the team to the 20th century and open it up a bit, but I'm sure in the back of their mind they are wary of what Joe would say if we do something to mess it up.

But how do you tell a legend not to do something? It's like telling my then 80 year old grandfather not to drive a car anymore. There really is no easy way to transition to a new coaching staff. Joe wants to hang on and the school AD is not gonna fire him. PSU is not lacking athletes to be an elite program, I really think the coaching staff is holding them back.

If you're still coaching at a school that has a statue of you outside the stadium, it's time to think about retiring. That's like setting up a memorial for a president who's still in office.
