OSU Hangs On For Wild 52-49 Win At Indiana..................Ohio State topped the 50-point mark for the second week in a row, and totaled a season-high 578 total yards, but the Buckeyes still had to hold off a furious late challenge from Indiana before securing a 52-49 victory in Bloomington on Saturday night.
Postgame Notebook: No Style Points In Win................The Ohio State football team remained undefeated with a win at Indiana Saturday night, but the Buckeyes were not in a celebratory mood afterwards. Read on to get postgame reaction to the 52-49 OSU victory, as well as notes on the "freak show" and fullback-turned-linebacker Zach Boren.

Big cause for concern~~~
leading by 18 pts with 2 minutes left in the game,Hoosiers scored 2 tds. in a span of .35 seconds and needed to recover an onside kick(just barely) to preserve the win, this has to be attributed to total lack of concentration and letting up,no excuse is acceptable for this crap.
I've come-up with a list of excuses (not reasons) and positives for the ugly defensive performance/result to make us all feel a little better:
Indiana does have a really good offense... not great, but really good
"Let down" game following last week's big win
Significant injuries in the front 7
Questionable calls from the zebras, including the personal fouls toward the end of the game
Not finishing the game mentally
4, arguably 6 dropped interceptions
A couple of drops in the passing game that could've put the game out-of-reach
The offensive line continues it's excellent play
The running backs are really starting to come-on
Stoneburner was present
Corey Brown continues to establish himself as a threat
Devin Smith demands safety attention from here on out
Another blocked punt, Roby with his 3rd touchdown
Outside of one mistake, the kick-off return team continues to impress
Kenny Guiton cannot be phased
These two especially....
I just shows you how important it is to have a good/great coach...
Herman is light years better coach Sissy...
OY !VEY !
Indiana threw 54 passes and we had NO,NADA,BUPKIS sacks and Zero hurries, totally unacceptable and disgraceful.
The thing that killed me was the amount of interceptions we had a chance at and didn't get. The two drops by Devin Smith were killer also, that's fourteen more points right there. The lack of pressure on their QB's was awful. I saw a couple late hurries by Spence were he got a shot on the QB, outside of that I don't think we sniffed the QB too much. I said it before, that was one of the worst defensive games I have ever watched, and being a KC Chiefs fan, that says a lot, because I have seen god awful defenses.
I'm not making any excuses for how the defense played (they were down right putrid) but if it wasn't for that MIRACLE onside kick recovery (which BTW that guy stepped out of bounds before it left his hands) then we win the game with a little more ease.
The frustration surrounding the defense is fair but let's not throw a witch hunt and jump all over Fickell. I am not ready to give up on him yet and let's be fair again... we have a lot of injuries on defense not to mention youth is killing us.
This team very well could have been hungover from back-to-back huge wins and we've seen letdowns from the past (except this time we've come out on top).
I am still confident our defense can make key stops and we can outscore our remaining opponents. Penn st worries me the most at this point!
