hopefully a repeat of last year or even better like we did against NU
Minnesota is atrocious this year. I really think we'll lay it on them.
good I'll actually be able to see this game!
hmmm I wonder what the status of Chris Wells will be for this game?
I'm sure he'll see limited play as he did last week. Probably 12-15 carries. Mo Wells will probably carry the load with Marcus Williams getting time again as well.
Does anyone else think we should put Henton in at RB some time since both Beanie and Saine are injured?
I don't know about that. Is it possible that Jim burns Herron's red shirt? I just don't see Mo Wells getting the job done for us.
If we keep Herron Redshirted then JT must think there's something special with him. We've got 2 good RBs, 2 decent ones and a running QB, we should be able to get through the season without using him. Like I said, I wouldn't mind seeing Henton or Torrence play RB if they have to.
If JT thought there was something special in Herron wouldn't he want to play him?
lol, good point. But he obviously isn't as good as Beanie right now and that's the type of back he is. Herron's got a weird situation right now, but I'm sure we'll see him get significant playing time in 2 years.
hopefully we dont have a let down...keep the train rollin
Minnesota is brutal. I see us having another offensive outburst indoors at the Metrodome and shutting down an absolutely horrid Minny offense. We won't allow an offensive TD again this week.
tOSU - 45
Minnesota - 0
They would be nice for sure. I really want a shut out!
Im going to say OSU 48-3. No need to waste the redshirt on herron in this one. I think our walkons could put up big numbers against Minnesoweak.
I think we have a field day with this one and then start experimenting with new plays and players. =]
My biggest concern for this game will be our depth at RB. I don't have much confidence in Mo Wells to get the job done. We have to be able to run the ball.
According to a huge article in the Lantern, Beanie was quoted as saying his ankle injury is extremely minor and won't affect his playing time. The only reason the coaches took him out was because we were already winning by 45 points and he didn't want to risk a serious injury. So he should get the same amount of carries against Minnesota. I see him getting over 100 yds (or at least 15 carries) and then getting taken out.
I did not know that! That's good news.
That's great to hear! I was so worried that we would have lost Saine AND Beanie for an extended amount of time.
I can't wait til this team is playing with a full force of healthy players. It's going to be sick!
Here is an article updating information for the game. It says beanie is nicked up but will play. Also says they want to keep herron a redshirt but if they feel they need him then he will play. Also Dane is back also. So the the WR chart is at full capacity. That is good news.
