I'm glad Braxton will get his B1G opener at home. With that said I would have preferred to open with Indiana

A victory vs. Sparty, suspended players back for Nebraska = 11-1/10-2 season.

I am standing by my previous prediction regarding our record: 11-1 or 10-2.

The D took a big step forward yesterday and the offense a nice foot forward. The O will take a little longer, however the D can carry us against Michigan State.

    Go Bucks!

i said about the same. i originally picked us to drop one to miami and nebraska. i honestly thought miami would be a loss because bauserman would still be the starter. i have said it before and i will say it again this coaching staff never makes big changes unless there is a loss. you saw it will troy smith and with pryor. i still say we drop a very close one in nebraska. by that time the media and the college football world will write us off. just in time for us to drop the big upset in the shoe against bucky!

If we do get past Sparty and the Tat-4 can mesh in well with the young guys, I think we can ride some very solid momentum through the rest of the season and we could very possibly finish up 11-3 (counting postseason).

All things considered, that would be a very solid season in a transition year from the all-time winingest coach (%) and QB in school history.

With the return of Posey, Adams, and Boom on O, and the forgotten Soloman Thomas and Nate Williams on D, we should be favored un most of our remaining games.

Today's hangover sure feels better than last Sunday's......

    Up next

Michigan State, and it has been tough to gauge the Spartans thus far. Their wins have been convincing, but they’ve come against Football Championship Subdivision opponent Youngstown State (2-2), plus Florida Atlantic (0-3) and Central Michigan (1-3). The loss was a stunningly lopsided 31-13 fall to Notre Dame. Of course, OSU’s wins are over Akron (1-3), Toledo (1-3) and Colorado (1-3). Some think the Spartans, although rebuilding on defense, can contend for the Legends title with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins at the helm.

    This week’s challenge

The Buckeyes appeared to pare their offensive game plan last week for several reasons, including simplicity for Miller and knowing that the basics probably would be enough against the Buffaloes. They will need more, especially from their freshman quarterback, as they dive into the next four games.

Any chance that Sweat rolls to SLB, replacing Sabino and Shazier plays more @ WLB against Michigan State?

Or Sabino rolls to MLB, Sweat @ SLB and Shazier to WLB?

This group needs to improve/have a good game against Michigan State.

    Go Bucks!

Dantonio, Ohio State share long history.............Luke Fickell and Mark Dantonio are friends off the field, but they know the importance of Saturday's game. Don't expect them to let up on one another.

If we pull this game out, my confidence in this team will have doubled over two weeks. Posey and Co. on the field should make an immediate impact after this. We only get better from here, so if we can beat a team like MSU right now, I think we could be a top-ten caliber team by the end of the season.

The problem is, we need to get better now, and I'm not sure that can happen before Nebraska and Wisconsin.
