Akron Zips vs. Ohio State Buckeyes
Our lines are gonna get pounded by the coaches all week for their performance against YSU and this should improve our running game and our pressure on the QB, thus resulting in a shutout on Saturday.
I am predicting that we win: 45-6.
I want to see us just masacre them.
look for a repeat of last saturday wiht some improvments added in the mix. it is gonna about the same thing we saw against YSU but wiht a better performance out of the O and D line
What does Akron like to do on offense?
They should prefer the run game, they got 133 yards on 35 carries against Army (compared to only 154 yds passing). They have a brand new QB, Chris Jacquemain.
From the highlights I saw of their first game, their return game is really good. They had 172 return yards.
I think I heard their QB is a running QB, which our D line will NEED to be better to stop....
I say 42-10.
I see Beanie going nuts on his hometown college. 170 yards, 3 TD's in a 45-7 victory.
I think I could see a 44-13 game.
Yea i do see beanie having a pretty good day. After so many people wondering whats going on with him. I could see atleast 150 yards before he is pulled.
As long as it's a blowout and no repeat of scUM then I'm perfectly fine with whatever the results are. =]
Beanie hasn't put on more weight has he?
Oh yes he has! I'm not exactly sure but he's got more meat now than he did last year. He appearantly hit the wieght room hard.
I wonder how much that has hurt his speed on the field.
I wouldn't be surprised if it hurt significantly.
I was never really blown away by Beanie's speed. Yeah he's a big kid, but a lot of people hyped him up to be a lot faster than what he actually is. If you think about it, he's a FB/LB playing RB. He's still going to be a great back.
His speed caught my attention during the osu/scum game last season. He looked fast to me.
Yes, I heard he hit it hard too. He went twice a day all summer, so some of that was speed and conditioning, not just strength. I heard something like he was around 230, up just a little from last year, but physically like a speciman, I even heard him described as Eddie George like.
I thought he was lightning fast in the tsun game last year. That game reminded me of Jamal Lewis running over, and away from the Browns back in 03 or 04. Whatever it was. A big monster back, with shifty, fast speed. Hope to see it again this year, and Sat. would be a great time to start!
