Ezekiel Elliott's frustration was evident while Ohio State's game was still going on: 5 Doug Lesmerises observations - Plain Dealer

Doug makes some good points here, and I agree. It wasn't simply "run Zeke more" like people have said all year. It's not "run Zeke up the middle" like people have said all year. It's a lack of a passing game, or even attempt at a passing game.

The farthest a ball flew and actually landed in the hands of an Ohio State receiver? The touchdown pop pass, when Barrett faked into the line, the stepped back and hit Marshall for a quick little touchdown. With the line of scrimmage at the 6-yardline, Marshall caught it about 4 yards deep in the endzone. So 10 yards.

We might as well use Braxton or Jalin at quarterback.

Agree...I'm not real sure if Beck and Warriner know what they had? It's just crazy to think about all of the offensive weapons and they chose to not use them. Even the slightly overthrown ball that JT threw deep to Braxton proved that JT can throw deep! We kept hearing that JT couldn't throw deep, yet under pressure he threw it 50 yards in the air and overthrew Braxton, which is probably not easy to do considering his speed.

Oh well, maybe the next OC will figure it out.

Its almost like they were the only ones...it seemed like he had to earn touching the ball every week. Like after every game they were surprised 'wow, zeke had a pretty good game' Getting him touches was like pulling teeth this season. I totally get Alabama's frustration last year when they went away from Henry...these coaches made it more difficult than it had to be. Now do they punish Zeke for being honest with even fewer touches in The Game?

If the O-line coach/OC wants to pursue a HC job then let him go...terminate Beck. I've seen enough of this situation. In the business world both would be gone due to their performances or lack of. Summary - the QB's and O-line have not improved...play calling is terrible. TE coach is in the cross hairs also, however gets another chance...only because of play calling...need to see better blocking on the edge. 4-5 star players and coaches got it handed to them by 2-3 star players that were coached up.

Hear Houston is offering Herman $3m/year now. We should offer him $10m/yr to be the offensive coordinator. For fu*& sake..

$3m/year and he won't be able to spend it in this town. Car deal(s), CC memberships, free meals when eating out...life's good in Houston. Not nearly the pressure of South Carolina, USC , TAMU or UT. Not to mention recruiting in Houston and/or Texas...he should stay @ U of H for 2 years minimum.

We've regressed as unit up front. That hurts, especially with a guy like Price who is still adapting. His progress has drastically been stunted with Ed's promotion.

I am having flashbacks to third and long and we run a inside shovel pass to our tight end.............

Reminded me of the USC game when we called a quarterback draw on third and long..................

Beck is not a fit obviously but the majority of the blame needs to fall at Urban's feet..............
