Interesting numbers going into today's game... Illinois's passing defense can be considered the worst in the B1G despite "only" giving up a conference 8th ranked 213.3 ypg... How you might ask? Opposing QBs have thrown 15 TDs to 6 INTs against them (12th and t-7th worst in the B1G respectively) and the defense has allowed opposing QBs a B1G highest passer rating of 149.18, hence making them the worst pass efficiency defense in the conference... Sounds like just the D we need to face to get the passing game going again.

Perhaps today will be Miller's 4th 200+ passing game of the season, which would be nice to see. Miller needs only 477 passing yards in the final 3 games to become just the 10th Div I FBS QB to ever throw for 2,000+ and run for 1,000+ yards in a single season. A solid 200+ game today and two average outings against Wisky and scuM would put him over the mark. He needs to average 157.7 yards passing the rest of the season to do it... Dare I say, at least as far as this season's remaining schedule.. this is the most likely opponent that we could see Miller achieve his first career 250+ pass, 100+ rushing performance against.

The other interesting tidbit along these lines... The Game could also mark the first time in NCAA history (all divisions) that opposing QBs have reached that milestone in the same game. Should Denard Robinson achieve the benchmark again this season, he would join Nevada's Colin Kapernick as the only QBs to ever do so in 3 seasons, both doing so consecutively. However Robinson is still 681 passing yards and 54 rushing yards away, but has 3 games prior to The Game to get close, and had averaged 180.6 yards passing a game before leaving the Nebraska game early.
