2021 QB Caleb Williams takes in Ohio State spring game

We’ve talked about a host of 2021 quarterbacks over the past few months, but one that we’ve not mentioned as often as others is Gonzaga (Washington D.C.) High School 4-star Caleb Williams.

The country’s second-ranked dual-threat quarterback visited the Buckeyes last weekend and took in the sights and sounds of Ohio Stadium.

“It was pretty sweet,” Williams told Lettermen Row. “It met my expectations of how I thought it was going to be, but in a way it kind of exceeded my expectations — especially when I saw the support from the fans and the alumni.”

Though he’s listed a 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds, Williams told Lettermen Row he’s actually 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds. Seeing him in person, that was easy to believe. He’s a big, strong-looking prospect who Ohio State offered in January, the same day he was offered by Georgia and Texas A&M. Since then, the communication with the Buckeyes has remained consistent, and this past weekend’s message was to keep doing what he’s doing.

“They really like how I play,” Williams said. “They want me to just keep doing what I’ve been doing. Working hard and progressing.”

Williams said it’s “way too early” for him to start narrowing down his schools to any kind of preferred list.
