They are indicating there intent to move forward.............no way they get there........ Take a breath buddy......... Not sure if I was a player I would be looking to transfer from Ohio State to a school who may postpone their season next week.......... See my point.......
I do not think any conference plays a full season, but those that atleast start a season will create a further gap between those who didnt in terms of recruiting and development. A school like OSU may be able to ride wave. The others in our conference cannot. This decision means layoffs and other sports will be impacted. Football keeps some of these smaller sports a float. If any conference plays a full season it will be devastating. The fact is this, at this point, was not about player safety. If it was no students would be coming back to campus. If kids are on campus sports should be played. Gene Smith is a coward for not persuing all playing options at this time. The B1G commish is a shit leader and I hope he gets boos at all championship games. You cannot state player safety and them allow your son to play. Playing in the spring is not a real option. It wont work. This decision was made before today and the fact they released a schedule is an absolute joke. Donors will take notice next time OSU wants something. Gene and the new president had a chance to stand up and tell B1G to get on OSUs level. Instead they chose to fall in line and possibly risk damaging OSU football for an extended period of time.
This just feels like another great opportunity for the SEC to put their thumb on the scales...Saban has been defiantly for a football season. It is sad seeing our great conference run by such ineptitude. I mean play chicken with the other conferences at least a little bit.
Just a thought...can the Bucks schedule a season filled w/ACC, Big 12, AAC and SEC teams? 10 games...review open dates, stay flexible and play ball! Go Bucks
Michigan State just sent a student email stating all intramural sports will still happen in fall....WTF

I cannot disagree with your points or thoughts on the matter, however I do not believe this will be used in recruiting against the Big Ten.......... I agree it doesn't make any sense to have kids on campus and be comfortable with that but not be fine with having football in a very much control environment. I will never like the Big Ten comish..........once a lawyer, always a lawyer....... As long as Ryan Day and the majority of the staff are there, OSU will not take a step back in recruiting or on the field IMO.... Spring football is never going to happen and I don't foresee the ACC, Big 12 or the SEC playing football this fall.......... I usually do not go for conspiracy theories but I really believe that the players speaking out in the Big Ten and PAC 12 played a role in this decision as the health aspect is not making sense based upon other decisions schools in both conferences have made such as allowing kids on campus and even a few having intramural sports....

Ryan Day says he will fight for Ohio State's 2021 early enrollees to be able to play in the spring, a possibility that seemed like a fun but unrealistic scenario not too long ago. https://t.co/T8K0z1d7lF— Eleven Warriors (@11W) August 12, 2020

It is actually sad reading these headlines on 'what they're planning next'. It's like when a fan cannot admit their team lost and nothing mitigates that fact, but they continue to argue if they didn't throw those 3 interceptions they would have been in that game.
What if this season was cancelled for political reasons. Take away football in the midwest and then have media spin as not anyone's fault but Trump....btw I'm not saying that is happening, but some of these conveniently timed articles are interesting. Also, what if the season was shut down to eliminate player voices. Pretty covninant that as Pac-12 and B1G player started to speak out the season was cancelled. I'm not saying the season was cancelled for either of those reasons, but they make more sense then the non scientific answers the B1G has provided. I mean saying that because of a rare heart disease, oh you mean the same one that is tied to the flu, pneumonia, and other infections and disease not named covid-19.
This was a power grab by the conference. I have no doubts. Still f’n pissed that there’s no football AND that we are throwing away a fucking great team this year.
Like the closings of schools, bars, restaurants and churches, the loss of college football — the rivalries, the tailgating, jammed stadiums and marching bands — feels for many Americans as if yet another piece of fabric was being torn from civic life.https://t.co/CEXlLsRC3C— The New York Times (@nytimes) August 13, 2020

Ohio State football might've been saved in 2020, but poor planning and a series of bad decisions doomed it for the foreseeable future. https://t.co/UXGsNUZmYc— Eleven Warriors (@11W) August 14, 2020
