    Ohio State DT Jashon Cornell:

    • Cornell feels like Ohio State's defensive line has proven its ability to stop the run when most of the hype surrounding them entering the season was about its ability to rush the passer.
    • Cornell said the Buckeyes view Wisconsin as a "completely different team" than it was when it played Ohio State in October and that the Badgers will be "way hungrier" than the first time around, so the Buckeyes have to be prepared for a tougher challenge. "We have to play our best game because they're going to give us their best game."
    • Cornell said the Buckeyes are having a lot of fun and that the brotherhood this year is "so much better" than previous years. "We're all playing for each other. We don't have anybody playing for individual stats." Said in the past, there was more of a laser-focus on just winning whereas now, they're having more fun together and really focusing on playing for each other.
    • On going up against Ohio State's interior offensive line: "We don't take it easy on each other."
    • Cornell said the Buckeyes have treated "every game like it's a March Madness game." March Madness has been a motto for this year's team led by Day, and Cornell thinks the team has bought into that approach each week.
    • Cornell said he doesn't have a preference on playing indoors or outdoors. He grew up in Minnesota, so he's used to playing in bad weather.

    Jashon Cornell:

    • Cornell said the Buckeyes can't focus on playing Clemson or what happened against Clemson the last time Ohio State played Clemson, but on what they have to do to play their best football. He said the Buckeyes are a completely different team now than they were in 2016.
    • Cornell said the Buckeyes are ready for a physical break after playing their five straight games.
    • Cornell said that when the recruiting class of 2015 arrived, they didn't realize everything it took to be a college football player, but the fifth-year seniors who are still at Ohio State have learned that collectively over the years.
    • On dropping to the No. 2 seed: "We're ready to play. We don't care where we're at."
    • As he has said in the past, Cornell said the Buckeyes are having more fun playing for one another than they have in past years.

    JASHON CORNELL, DT
Like Hamilton, Cornell moved into Ohio State’s starting lineup at defensive tackle as a fifth-year senior and had the best year of his career, in which he emerged as a solid run-stopper and interior pass-rusher while leading the Buckeyes’ rotation at the 3-technique position.

He’s not quite the physical specimen of his predecessor Dre’Mont Jones, who was a third-round pick in last year’s NFL draft, but he has good size and quickness and demonstrated versatility, as he played both tackle and defensive end in his Ohio State career. He hasn’t generated a ton of draft buzz at this point and isn’t currently slated to play in a pre-draft all-star game, but he should at least get a chance to make an NFL roster as a free agent and could improve his chances of being a late-round pick with a strong showing at Ohio State’s pro day in March.
