247Sports' Steve Wiltfong writes that Georgia and Texas are "in good position" with uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo.
Ringo (6'1/180) has taken multiple trips to both programs during his recruitment. His interest shows out on the 247Sports Crystal Ball, with three analysts predicting a Texas pledge and two predicting a Georgia pledge. An aggressive, athletic cornerback prospect, Ringo slides into the 247Sports composite board as the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2020 class. Outlet analyst Blair Angulo comps the Scottsdale, Arizona, native to Jalen Ramsey in his general playing style. Ringo has a long ways to go to hit that developmental ceiling, but that is the kind of upside we're talking about, here.

That's a whole bunch of pass interference and very little hip fluidity against high school talent. He's gonna need to put a lot of work in at the next level if he wants to start at a school like Ohio State.

He reminds me a bit of Kendall Sheffield... Superb athlete, but needs to focus on technique.

I've thought this kid was a Safety all along. I think we have the 2nd best CB in the country in Clark Phillips. Elias Ricks is obviously the top CB. I'd go crazy over a secondary of

    CB - Elias Ricks
    FS - Kelee Ringo
    SS - Lathan Ransom
    Nickel - Lejond Cavazos
    CB - Clark Phillips

That's an insane group. I agree that this kid should be a safety, but I still question his aggression on the back end. His ball-skills seem to be a bit lacking, but his speed and athleticism might make up for it. I just have a feeling he'd get lost on the depth chart with the way we're currently recruiting.

Kelee Ringo Includes Ohio State in Top-Five

Five-star No. 1 cornerback Kelee Ringo included Ohio State in his top five schools Thursday. He also included Texas, Oregon, Georgia and Alabama.

Texas is the early favorite here, since he's spent so much time in Austin, but he plans to take an official visit to Ohio State at some point and potentially an unofficial visit before the official.

Ringo is clearly the No. 1 cornerback in the country, and it's not really close. His combination of size, speed and knowledge of the position makes him polished enough to nearly be a plug-and-play for a Power Five program.

He will certainly be able to choose wherever he would like to play, and perhaps Arizona commitments will aid in Ohio State's pursuit of the Saguaro cornerback, but the Buckeyes have two respected cornerbacks in the class already in Clark Phillips and Lejond Cavazos, so if Ohio State isn't able to bring him in, the position certainly isn't lacking talent and capability.

Ringo also has a close relationship with five-star running back Bijan Robinson and four-star safety Lathan Ransom, who is expected to be heading to Columbus, but a good bet is on Ringo not picking the Buckeyes.
