Wandale Robinson in decision mode, Ohio State and Nebraska likely top two
Before heading to see Zach Harrison and a few other players in Ohio on Friday, Urban Meyer was in Frankfort, Ky. visiting 4-star wide receiver Wandale Robinson, making that recruiting trip alongside Buckeyes receivers coach Brian Hartline.

Hartline stayed in Kentucky and watched Robinson’s game that night.

According to one source in Kentucky, Robinson has really narrowed down his choice to two schools: Ohio State and Nebraska. Kentucky has not been officially eliminated, but the Wildcats no longer appear to be a legitimate threat. Ohio State sources have indicated that Alabama has once again tried to make a push for Robinson, but the Tide haven’t been consistent in their efforts to recruit him and because of that, aren’t considered to be in the final decision.

Right now, Robinson — according to Buckeyes sources — is in decision mode and is thought to be spending the next few days talking with his family ahead of a decision on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Nebraska’s Scott Frost has been very involved in Robinson’s recruitment for months, and that relationship is the one Ohio State has to compete against. As it was written here on Lettermen Row on Sunday morning, it’s remarkable that the Buckeyes are even in this conversation because the program was out of the picture entirely until Brian Hartline was named interim wide receivers coach in late July.

Only way I want Wandale is if we use him like Purdue used Rondale Moore. But if we do, this kid is would be dynamite!

Chose Kentucky over Ohio State, Bama, and Purdue o_O

I really don't understand the logic with some of these kids... Does he not see that all 4 of this year's top WRs are leaving after this season (If KJ Hill jumps)?

That being said, I'm just glad he isn't going to Purdue...

I don’t blame him for wanting to stay home. Plus, our WR will be just fine. We will be mostly unproven, but I think the talent will be there. Especially if Victor continues to improve and be consistent. He’s showed some good stuff. But his bad has been really bad. But I’m not sure Hill goes. He legitimately could become Ohio State’s all time leading receiver if he keeps this pace. Shocking to think.

Losing Grimes is what really hurt. But Olave is going to be a star, and I think the combo of Wilson/Williams in the ‘19 class is going to be nasty!!

Yes, I think we will be fine as well. I'm just saying that there hasn't been a better time since 2012 to come in and immediately fight for PT.

I also think Hill might stay. He reminds me a lot of Jalin Marshall. I don't think his game is well-suited for the next level, but he could smash the record books here with another season like this one.

And we lost to Maryland with Stefon Diggs, and to North Carolina with Mitch Trubisky.

Some kids just want to stay home, and some kids just don't want to come to Ohio State. I trust Urban to get it done on the recruiting trail.

Plenty of really good players that would kill (on the field) to be here. I want those players. Sometimes some convincing is worth it but I honestly wouldn't waste my time if I gotta twist a kids arm to even consider it.

Diggs is one of the guys that I’m still salty over. I really wanted him!

If you think recruiting is fine...……...I would suggest you go look at that 14 person class...………

At least 2 of those kids will not be at Ohio State on signing day...…….

Harrison is trying to find any excuse not to come to Ohio State...……

I guess it is fine if we are just trying to not lose to Purdue or Iowa every year...…….
