Another addition to the visitor list will be good news for Thad Matta and the basketball Buckeyes. According to Alex Gleitman, '16 SF Braxton Blackwell, the 33rd overall player in the class, will be in attendance as well.

    Matta visits Blackwell:
Just moments after the Ohio State basketball media day ended, Thad Matta hit the road for Nashville, TN. Don't worry, Matta isn't giving up coaching to jump start a career as a country recording artist. The Buckeye boss went down south to check out 2016 forward Braxton Blackwell in an open gym at Christ Presbyterian Academy.

Since the open period started, the Bucks have now made the trek to C.P.A. on a few different occasions to watch the 6'8, 225 pound Blackwell workout.

Last weekend, alongside his AAU teammate, point guard Kobi Simmons, Blackwell visited Ohio State, and had the chance to check out the facilities, meet with the staff, current Buckeyes, and even watch the football team run away with a victory over Cincinnati.

OSU isn't the only program after the talented forward. Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Big Ten foe Indiana are just a few of the teams trying to keep Braxton away from Columbus.

    Blackwell has plenty of options:
Taking a short glance at the future, '16 small forward Braxton Blackwell already holds offers from some of the nation's top schools, including Indiana, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Florida, Kansas, Memphis, and Vanderbilt. Blackwell is also in contact with Kentucky, Louisville, and North Carolina, among others.

The 6'8, 220-pound Blackwell is a four-star, nearly a five-star, according to the 247Sports Composite, and is ranked as the fifth-best small forward in the country and the second-best prospect at any position from the state of Tennessee. As of now, the Crystal Ball is predicting that Blackwell will end up with either Indiana (33 percent of the vote) or Vanderbilt (also with 33 percent of the vote).

An Ohio State assistant coach was in Tennessee on Wednesday and checked in one one of the top players in the 2016 hoops recruiting class. According to Jerry Meyer of 247Sports, the Buckeyes coach was in the volunteer state to see '16 SF Braxton Blackwell. The 6'8, 220-pounder is listed as the 32nd ranked player in the class, the 5th overall SF and the 2nd best player from his state.

Future150.com says Blackwell put up 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in front of the Ohio State assistant and North Carolina Head Coach Roy Williams. The offers for Blackwell have came from Florida, Kansas, Louisville, Ohio State, Tennessee, Virginia and many more.
