Markell Johnson (6'2 PG / King James Shooting Stars / 2017):

Per Game Stats: 16.7 points, 44.4% FG, 7.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists
Weekend High: 18 points vs. Meanstreets (IL)

Ohio's top guard in the 2017 class, Johnson put on a show in a 2-1 weekend for King James. Averaging 16.7 points per game, Johnson also rebounded and passed at a high level, performing in front of Ohio State assistant coach Greg Paulus. Flirting with the idea of possibly reclassifying to 2016 and joining the Buckeyes' incoming recruiting class, Johnson was no slouch in his first taste of EYBL action over the weekend.

    Markell Johnson (6'2 PG / King James / 2017):

Despite only playing two games this past weekend, Johnson was stellar in those performances, putting up 22.5 points per game. Johnson's weekend-high came on Saturday, as he poured in 33 points against We All Can Go (TN). Shooting 51.4 percent from the floor, Johnson was spectacular in his limited time on the floor, as the state's top guard has continued to put up big numbers. While it is still unclear whether Johnson will end up in the 2016 or 2017 class, one thing is for sure - the East Tech product is a star in the backcourt.
