This is a no brainer offer IMO!

    What a player...

Ohio has some talent in HS right now..

I really dont like giving praise to kids so early in their careers. All I saw in those highlights is that a 6-8 kid can dunk in transition. Very little actually post moves and we wonder why it's so hard to find a decent big man these days. I also noticed that the kid was just more developed than the rest of the kids out there, and in a year or so those guys could easily catch up and/or surpass him. I don't want to say the kid is garbage and get down on him, but all of the guys on OSU's roster now could do this stuff at that age and it's frustrating how half of these kids can only dunk the ball or drive once they get to the next level. Sully was the only big I've seen in a while that actually had good post moves and a true ability to score around the basket. There was talk of Amir Williams being a solid contributer his freshman year, and to this day I question his ability to walk without falling down:mad:

No reason not to offer this kid now...

Especially considering Matta's struggles in the past few classes at landing Bigs..

It is difficult to project a big man this early.........

That being said, Matta has missed on the last 100 post players.....

If Spellman has quick feet, I say offer.............OSU could just offer and not OFFER.....

This kid looks to have handles and quick feet...

He looks kind of like a Jared Sullinger type of PF but he's also a great passer and shot blocker...

Really like this kid...I think he'll eventually be a 5-star...

    Omari Spellman

    North Royalton

    Forward, Soph.

    Height, weight: 6-8, 230.

    College: Undecided.

This season: While Spellman was an immediate factor as a freshman, he was even better as a sophomore. He averaged 22 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, as the Bears lost just twice all season. The big difference was an improved outside shot. Spellman shot a team-best 43 percent from beyond the perimeter. It was all on display when he went against Ohio State signee Dave Bell and Garfield Heights on Dec. 17, as Spellman scored a season-high 40 points.
