I understand that we don't really have room for McKee in this class, but I think he's OSU caliber for sure and I wish he'd get an OFFER...

Hate to lose Baker, LJ Scott, Crawford, Brown, and McKee all in one class...

I'm sure Thad Matta has advised Urban against offering McKee.

ANTHONY MCKEE CHECKING OUT BUCKEYES THIS WEEKEND
One of the state's most versatile and talented players, Marion-Franklin's Anthony McKee, will visit Ohio State this weekend. The visit, an unofficial visit, is interesting. McKee is a highly-regarded linebacker prospect and the timing — two days after we found out Ohio State told Malik Jefferson it had no more room at the position — is curious. I talked to McKee and here's the breakdown.

"Coach Fickell asked me to come visit," McKee said. "They're talking to me about playing linebacker and safety."

A 6-foot-2, 190-pounder, McKee at safety is a more likely avenue to a potential Buckeye scholarship. He's a Top 300 player nationally, but despite being down the street from Ohio State, the Buckeyes haven't pulled the trigger. He's visited Oklahoma officially and will head to East Lansing next weekend when the Spartans host the Buckeyes. He has been offered by Michigan State.

Columbus (Ohio) Marion Franklin linebacker Anthony McKee had planned to take his second official visit next month, but changes are being made to that schedule.

    2015 LB/DB Anthony McKee (Columbus/Marion Franklin)

"The visit was real good. I had a fun time. The atmosphere was nuts. The students were wild. MSU is a real good school. I like how the coaches treat their players, and that is why MSU is in my top schools, win or loss. OSU played one heck of a game. When they got rolling, they got rolling. Two strong programs in the Big Ten, somebody had to make a statement. I like both programs."

    Anthony McKee
    Columbus (Ohio) Marion Franklin
    Rank: No. 36 Outside Linebacker

Recruiting Wrap: McKee took his first official visit in September to Oklahoma. He did not take his second official visit until December. That trip went to Pittsburgh when Paul Chryst was head coach, and when Chryst made the move to Wisconsin a few days later, the Badgers started recruiting McKee. An official visit to Madison is now scheduled for Jan. 23, but the weekend before that he will see Michigan State, where he nearly committed over the summer.

    Favorite: Michigan State

    Dark Horse: Wisconsin

Pitt redshirt senior LB Anthony McKee will leave the team after he graduates this spring.

McKee (6'2/220) appears to be set to hang up his cleats altogether, though his retirement is not an official one at this juncture. Panthers HC Pat Narduzzi certainly hinted at it, though, saying, "You have to want to have another year of it" and that the redshirt senior is "moving on with life." This past season, McKee logged 14 tackles and a sack across six games played.
